Will they make the playoffs
The Cheaters ? Oh ya ..saving up all that LTIR $$$, And what do you know ...Stone is suddenly ready for the playoffs..Which for the other 31 NHL teams tsk tsk tsk .....shame on them circumventing the cap like that to ice a superior team in the playoffs. I mean it would give a team at least one premium player , maybe even two more than anyone else playing by the rules . But heh , the NHL had to give Vegas something for their 500 million expansion fee. Cup final first year ? You don't say . Pathetic. Mcrimmon and Mcphee aren't hockey geniuses. Hell Mcphee did nothing with Washington for YEARS ! When they had a great team. And did Mike Grier forget Vegas is a RIVAL ? HIS GM job is already looking shaky

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SHOWTIME_TTV</b></div><div>Understandable. I think he'd be the best fit next to Nurse other than Larsson who's also expressed not wanting to return to EDM. Nurse hasn't been the same since Larsson left. The Gudas contract would be a perfect fit but admittedly unlikely.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GeneralLandro</b></div><div>we love Radio, we aren't trading him

Not that I put Radko Gudas in my top 40 or so defensemen. But You are privileged to play in the NHL. I have no doubt he earned it with his skill, work ethic , and determination. But you have a problem with playing in Canada ? I can't imagine why . A little more media and fan scrutiny? If you play an honest game in Canada you aren't going to be criticized. Maybe you think you will be recognized, and often bothered in Canada because of a little more attention. People got it all wrong . Canadian hockey fans know some players have it in their heads that they just won't find the kind of peace they would playing in the U.S. Because of that it would surprise a great many people that we give hometown players PLENTY of space . Some American players seem to have this attitude also . Get over it . Years ago when Americans Doug Weight , and Bill Guerin played in Edmonton they absolutely loved it . And when asked about their time north of the border to this day , they have nothing but complimentary things to say ......u don't know it till u try it</div></div>

As it turns out Byram wasn't that expensive. This kid probably doesn't have much more than 200 NHL games on his resume . He has lots of room to grow. Bad trade for Casey Middlestadt.

Leafs 2023 2024 Season Discussion Part 4 - Mid Season Slump
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>fangm</b></div><div>Cowan should be untouchable. Top of OHL in Points per game, top 10 in +/-, top 40 in PIMs. Not a guarantee this translates to the NHL but a rare combination of skills/grit that we shouldn't move on from.
Minten will be in the lineup next year.
Also feel like the smaller wins on the team are being overlooked:
- Brodie looks like his old self playing the left. If he can maintain this then we just traded a massive liability at 1RD for a top 10 DFD at 2LD.
- Lili seems to be finding his stride again. He was great before his injury, been a bit off since but looked good with Brodie and he's over 60% on the PP replacing Rielly. Unsustainable numbers but for a guy who looked like he was on track to grow into a #2/3 earlier this year and suddenly regressed to a #5/6 after his injury this is a great sign that he could be our 2RD for the next 5+ years.
- Benoit/McCabe have incredible chemistry, exactly the pairing we've been wanting for years. Hard to play against shutdown pair.
- Holmberg, McMann both look like they should be playing in the NHL. Gives us loads of depth and the option to play around with the bottom 6 when Jarnkrok is back to make 2 effective lines.
Overall a great week for the Buds. Lots to be excited about.</div></div>
Wow ! You are argumentative, I guarantee you only watch Leafs games , you overvalue every Leaf , and probably the only thing you have to look forward to in " Bud" land is another early round exit so you can get on with your summer .

I was just reminded by my son that in Fraser's draft plus one season he scored ( or is scoring ) at a roughly point a game pace . This is rarely a PPG pace that ends up being a top six producer at the pro level. But I wish the kid well. Prospects can end up being late bloomers and grow their game tremendously. By this point I hope you're intelligent enough to realize I'm not arguing with you .

Calling Minten "low profile" is probably why you aren't a scout anymore lol.</div></div>
Are you sure I'm not still involved in identifying talent for some local teams ? You are being silly . Minten ....ok...he's gonna b a superstar ! Feel better ? I don't care if you think you are funny or you " win " I don't know you . You might even be likeable ..But as far as hockey goes you have much to learn

Ok ..I'm certainly not out to fleece or " Win " a deal. If I was like that as a real world GM why would anyone take my calls ? My offers would lack credibility..And in no time id have a bad reputation around the league. Idk if you are very familiar with the Oilers outside of a couple obvious players ..No disrespect, but I doubt you have seen even some of the players I've proposed. I'm 55 yrs old . I've played , coached , scouted , my kids played . I've been around ya know ? Maybe take a moment and give me a couple well constructed points on why " No Chance " . I would hope every pro would want to be in the playoffs . But are smart enough to know it's unlikely to happen every year of your career . Be happy , the Penguins are proud ex champions . More than a few teams can't say that ..
