There's a rumor that the Kings want a "dynamic LD 25 or under"
I don't agree with it though(assuming its true) we could use a more experienced and good defensive LD to play with Doughty, but we need a dynamic RD 25 or under, not a LD. Roy is doing a good job, but he isn't a #2 on a contender(when we are) and he won't be the guy to replace Doughty some day.
I suggested Ekholm and Fabbro and it got mixed reviews.

But what you're saying is Bellows + Bolduc/Wilde/Salo + Hickey + 1st is fair value? I think the Islanders would have to seriously, seriously consider pulling the trigger on that.</div></div>
so we traded toews for scraps and now we're talking about giving up a 1st + two of our top 6 prospects for Ekholm. Just awful asset management, at this point just give Aho or hickey a shot. Trading a 1st for a Dman is reckless with the situation the isles are in.

If zibs included it has to be a three way

What will happen to Ovi this year
He won't go anywhere, but if he does it won't be a big deal. He could ring chase on a nice one or two year deal and still be considered the greatest Capital ever, and go to the HOF as a Capital (I know that's not a thing in hockey but you know what I mean).
EDIT: Just FYI this is me hoping maybe Ovi would come to NYI on a solid one or two year deal to win another Cup with Trotz. But I know the chances of that happening are slim at best.

Objectively who wants to play in Ohio? I live here and the markets big but it’s not for everyone.

Which is surprising to me. Every year I keep wondering when it's going to be the Islanders year in the East. They seem like a team that has had so much potential, but hasn't been able to get over that final hurdle.... Hey.... Kind of like the Sharks in previous years.

I called it - Barry Trotz continues to hold this team back. He’s the reason they lost tonight.

I wouldn't go that far lol, but good lord he needs to evolve a little bit. Like yeah it's not 1981 unfortuntely, the bottom six needs to generate a little more offense than literally none at all. These young, offensively gifted guys who sit in the press box every night aren't going to get the "experience" he and Lou praise so much if they don't play on a regular basis.
Can't wait for Komarov or Kuhnackl to slide into 2LW for Beau if/while he's out

He has looked good so far - he’s drawn 2 penalties in 17 minutes of ice time. Solid in all 3 zones
