FINALLY!!
Thoughts about Alfie11's offer of 2021 12th OA, 2021 3rd rd. & 2022 2nd rd.? Does it really need to be 2, 1st rd. picks to get a Reinhart deal done?

That's how Treliving has done business. He pays the star RFA's, but for those that aren't stars, they take their QO. Kulak and Mangiapane being the most recent examples</div></div>
Agreed, Tre drives a hard bargain - specifically as you said with RFA's. So maybe we find ourselves with 1-2 mill extra wiggle room. Every little bit will count this year and possibly next.

Can definitely see that. Lines aren't set in stone, would be up to Sutter. I'm just trying to GM.

I've tried trades in the past for Reinhart and everyone cries that I don't value him enough. I figured 2 - 1sts no one can say $!#& about it. I agree its probably an over-payment though for sure.

I believe Risto has great value. He has 4 seasons of 40+ points, is 24 years old, 6' 4" and shoots right. His 5.4 million cap hit is reasonable for a Top 4 dman in todays NHL.
That's why I originally added the 2nd and 3rd rounders. Perhaps the 3rd would be conditional on Brodie resigning or completely removed if BUF could negotiate an extension with him.

Any Frolik interest? Not sure what BUF's cap situation is like. Czarnik is also a lesser, cheaper option.

I like the additional of Kylington if we're looking at Schwartz or Schenn being included.

Package Value - Brodie-Janko-Pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rja40</b></div><div>The Blues do not have zero LHD prospects. Not sure where you heard that. The fact that we might consider moving Eddy demonstrates the depth we have. Mikkola just killed it at the Worlds and is a big, typical Blues defenseman. Perunovich just announced he is going back for his senior year in college, but is highly likely to transition straight form college to the NHL. Tucker is a big, bad player with a shot that can kill goalies. He's close. The Blues are thin at RHD prospects, but having Parayko and Bortuzzo locked up and a probable Pietrangelo extension in the future mitigates that weakness.
The Blues need a top 6 left winger and just need to build up some depth in the minors. I think Bennett could be that winger, and he plays the style the Berube-led Blues seek to put on the ice.</div></div>
Would the Blues consider Frolik and a pick for Perron? Not sure Flames would make Bennett available after signing a team-friendly extension that maintains control of him as an RFA when it expires.

Flames are also looking for C/RW not LW/RW. I would consider adding Schenn, Danault, and some of Anaheim's wingers to that list. Oh and take off Gallagher, Montreal fans think he's Kucherov</div></div>
Not all as 1 package. I'm saying any combination of Brodie, Janko and either of a 1st, 2nd or 3rd. I 100% agree with you on Gallagher hahaha.

Yep, Brodie 1 year left then UFA. If the package is Brodie & Janko & 3rd or 4th for Bertuzzi, I see that as more reasonable.

i like the idea of going after Gallagher. Maybe a bit more pricey than just Valimaki though (think Bennett).
Saad is interesting as he is reasonably priced, good for ~ 20+ goals and only 26 y.o. Once again I think that package undervalues the acquisition.
The Hawks will not trade Saad for the Flames spare parts..

Remove 3rd rd from FLA trade? Add a 4th rd to FLA trade? How could we pry Trochek?
Also change 4th rd from MTL for a 6th rd for Stone?
Seems more reasonable.
