Don't mind the Roslovic idea. Need to add to Zac Jones though.

Patches has a full NMC and can't be retained. What do you really think the market is for him?

A recent podcast from NYR writer Vince Mercogliano had a scout saying he'd be getting regular time for 40% of teams in the league. But then again, league sources are telling the same guy NYR might be looking for 6/7D options.

Trying to do too much in 1 trade. Goodrow may be a negative asset, but that doesn't mean we should add him to an existing Wennberg trade.

You have Guentzel going to LTIR. That's the only reason these contracts work. Are you suggesting holding him out until the playoffs and to mix him in to a new team cold?

Wennberg to Rangers
Ranger aren't looking to move Othmann for a rental. They'd be more likely to move their 1st. I think they can do better than Wennberg 50% retained for their 1st rounder.

Retention on Henrique is worth approximately a late 3rd. Retention on Vatrano approximately a mid 2nd. Retention on both is worth about the 42nd pick. As players, Henrique is arguably worth a 1st/2nd and Vatrano probably a 2nd/3rd. A 1st, 2nd and B-tier prospect isn't far off.

It's a retention slot for 5 months. Who else would they be using one of their 2 remaining retention slots on during that time?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JK74</b></div><div>TJ nets a 4th without retention and retaining on Henrique nets a 4th. Chicago has better and younger options at LD than Jones so no thanks. Chicago counters with Johnson 50% retained and 50% retention on Henrique for 2nd round pick.</div></div>
I think that value is too high for TJ. He needs retention to make sense anywhere. 2 4ths and mid-tier prospect would be the highest I'd go for that.

24 Playoff Run
Seravalli wrote this today regarding Henrique: "The Ducks are reportedly looking for second and third-round picks, plus another third-round pick to retain half."
NYR don't really have the picks to make that work, but I think 1 1st is a greater value than the 1 2nd & 2 3rds reported above. Prospects probably need to be improved.

He'd make $159k more in '23-'24, $156k more in '24-'25, $112k more in '25-'26, and $77k more in '25-'26. Arizona would also be a favorable tax situation were he to be bought at. There are 500k reasons to waive for ARI.

Fiscal reality
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jimbo1119</b></div><div>Actually are a few reasons to move Lindgren:
1. IF Robertson emerges- with his size and skillset, he's the guy NYR will want to commit to as 2 or 3 LD
2. Miller /Fox is the eventual top pair for NYR going well into the future
3. Lindgren is -no doubt- a warrior. Plays hard, physical, and plays through pain. But only a matter of time before his body is way older than his age.
4. Lindgren's value is probably at its height right now. Even though they really can't move him just yet, hopefully when the other pieces fall into place across their D, his value will still be at or near where it is right now. While (due to wear and tear from his style of play) he probably doesn't project as a long term 1LD, he certainly has plenty of value as a 2 or 3 LD on any team. And if Robertson doesn't emerge- that might be his role going forward with NYR. Nils Lundqvist might also have a say on this if he's given a chance AND proves to be up to playing the left side.</div></div>
Your premise of moving the Rangers current 2nd best defensemen, with 2 years of affordable term, because a kid might be as good as him is flawed. If Lindgren has to be moved to afford Laf/Miller, then it's next offseason after 82 games of seeing if Robertson/Jones/Lundkvist are worth a damn.
