Keeping Stamkos and Duclair
The Sheary, Perbix and Jeannot trades all seem realistic value wise. If the Bolts do trade Jeannot, I think they'd give one of the young guys from Syracuse a shot at filling that spot over trading for Armia. UFA signings all seem reasonable as well.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>Tampa probably declines because of cap limitations, but not because Perbix is some high value piece. Moving him and Sheary allows Tampa to much more easily re-sign both Stamkos and Duclair, as well as having enough left over(after re-signing 3 other near league min contracts) to actually upgrade the 3RD spot. Whether that's with Dumba or another ufa in the 2.5-3 range, they can definitely upgrade there.</div></div>
Yeah that's basically the hope. Personally I'm indifferent on Perbix and don't mind him getting shipped out, same time I don't mind a reasonably cheap cost effective RD that plays great in sheltered minutes either. Smith, at this point I'm not sure if he's salvageable or has any values but I just don't know if he'd even address a need for us aside from the caphit being the biggest turn away.

I like all 3 additions for Tampa. Definitely shored up the 3rd D pair. Not sure that's enough to get Carrier from the Preds or not.

As a Shark fan, and as a Barabonov fan, I would love to see him get the opportunity to play for a good team and in the playoffs. I think he's the kind of player that needs the right linemates to thrive, can't generate on his own, but if that mix is found he can be productive.

TDL moving Cirelli
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>Thanks for the feedback!
I can definitely see the 1st being removed or lowered going to Tampa, and as far as the secondary pieces, they could also be up for negotiation(if at all included), but I believe that the crux of the trade would have to be Cirelli for Byram. Tampa would need the defensive addition to address the blueline, so I think whether it was the Avs or another team, Tampa would need a #3/4 type RD coming back.</div></div>
Poor match then. Byram CAN play RD after a fashion. He's a LHD who is much better on his natural side and average to weak on the right.

I was a Cirelli fan before most, but I'm not sure I'd do Byram for him. If he were making 5M or less it would be a different story, and I feel like the contract will age fine when the cap actually starts to rise, but it's just a tough ask at the moment.
That said, I don't think this is a bad proposal and appreciate that you added Perbix to try and address a need for Colorado (if they were to trade Bo). It's pretty well thought out, but I just don't think it happens.

its over just retool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>If the scheme/system doesn't change then yes, defensive additions probably won't matter. There are players out there that could definitely help and be upgrades (Seeler, Lyubushkin, Benning perhaps and others), that Tampa could male work, both in regards to the cap and not giving away entire draft classes to acquire.
Blashill was a terrible hire from the start, and he needs to be fired asap. He's Cooper's buddy though, and as you said, he's a people person, so JBB needs to just step in and get it done.
As far as the Stamkos contract, I think he will be re-signed, but not until after the season or late in it. I believe JBB wanted to wait and see.more official cap numbers before the season, and he usually does contracts in the offseason, so perhaps that's what is going on. I also believe he wanted to see.how Stamkos and the team looked this season before committing another 3-4 years and an aav in the 6.5-7 range(at least), into a soon to be 34 year old Stamkos.
There will be other holes to try and plug this offseason, and even with the projected increase, Tampa will oy have in the 12.x range for Stamkos and at least 4 or 5 other roster spots. It's a tricky balancing act for JBB, but I do hope that if they come to a mutually beneficial arrangement with Stamkos, they then allocate the majority of what they have to an improvement at either 3LD or a #4 type RD. They can get rid of Sheary if needed and go with a cheaper F to add maybe another million or close and then spend the bulk of what they have on a dman(whether that's re-signing someone acquired at the tdl or an offseason ufa, who knows). I'd like them to get both Seeler and Lyubushkin now, and then potentially be able to roll this rest of this year and maybe next:
Hedman-Lyubushkin
Sergachev-Cernak
Seeler-Raddysh
With Jack Thompson, Declan Carlile and others ready(or close) to be part of the dcorp as well.</div></div>
I mostly agree with everything but like you said, without firing blashill I just dont think the additions of lyubushkin and seeler would be enough for this team to make the playoffs. recently the problems have been less and less giveaways and losing 1 on 1s, and more systems issues. I am also not really a fan of carlile either, I think thompson, lilleberg, and crozier have been more solid, potentially even powell.

TB passes, not just because they're trading away franchise cornerstones, but also because there's no point bringing Barclay Goodrow back to a team full of similar-minded bottom six players at cheaper caphits.
Also odds are Hedman is going to stay with the team to mentor a defensive partner like Jack Thompson next season, and you know, that whole Swedish loyalty thing.
A full year of Vasilevskiy to start next season is probably going to be better than two fringe AHL goalies (god bless JoJo though) like we've had this year. Small hiccup, but very much still alive.

Opening night lines
I agree this is the way to go. Merela is solid but he's exempt so don't risk someone else to waivers and leave him as the first call up option. I think Watson has earned himself a spot on the roster. He'll start as the 13th but man he'd be a great option to add to the insane amount of sandpaper we have accumulated. It's Barre-Boulet's time to get a look. I really like the lines you've got here and it's clear you've been watching unlike some "Tampa" fans who are spewing garbage on CF. Lines look killer fr. Loved Paul with Stammer last year, and that 3rd line has looked excellent in preseason. This is the way to go 100%
