I guess Tampa did just do a huge favor to Nashville this year so I can see why you are confused by all this.

I would move Samsonov if he wants more than 3.5. He hasn't proven he's a number 1 yet. If he wants too much, trade him for some assets and run Woll and Murray. Woll looks good.

Maybe, again, it depends on the market. I've heard the Penguins have inquired about him so if it beats their offer, it'll likely happen as a cap casualty trade.

I wouldn't trade Miller 1 for 1 for Nylander or Tavares. This is an insane overpay

Marner 4 Bratt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTrades</b></div><div>Bratt is a great player. But Marner has a better resume and more value than Bratt. Not saying that you need to add Bratt and 5 first, but NJ would need to add. I'd listen if someone offered me Bratt+ for Marner</div></div>
We are at a hard ceiling of $83.5m next year and have about half our team to sign. So the + would not be significant unless Marner’s cap hit came down.
Maybe a useful guy like Sharangovich or decent prospect like Casey or Clarke. But wouldn’t be some windfall return with Bratt included. At least not from NJ.

Id say keep the core together
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTrades</b></div><div>If all this team needed was tweaks or luck, then this team would have won a couple of rounds by now. At some point, you have to admit that the problem is with the core and it's not during the regular season. They become a different team in the playoffs. They have no compete or pushback. The problem is between the ears. That's why they can't win in the playoffs. The best teams are never out of a game or a series. If they lose a game they are going to send you to the dressing room limping from the last hit and win the next game.
This team is flawed and we need to accept that. Losing is never okay. If they players want to stay together they need to win. They haven't been able to do that</div></div>
Thank you well said

Surgical offseason
Lots of questions will be asked if the Leafs can’t make this series interesting. Can’t believe they are down 3-0 after earning so much confidence from a strong first round.
As a Flames fan, man I’d be keen to have a GM swap. Dubas in CGY, Treliving in TOR. Assuming TOR wants a fresh start and move on from Dubas.
Coaches: CGY and TOR would be looking at a similar group.
RE: Hanifin trade — I don’t see CGY adding the 2nd round pick. This is a pure hockey trade. Hanifin is a top 3 dman on most teams and my view is he is still getting better. Plus he brings a lower cap hit than an 80+ scoring winger.

I've been saying all year that the Leafs shouldn't go above 4 for Bunting. I think with how he talks to the refs and his suspension, his value has gone down. Not saying he will sign for 2 or anything like that. But could they do 7x3.5? I think he could be replaced for that amount. The only other factor is resigning Matthew and if Matthews loves the guy you might need to keep him</div></div>
Yeah I could get behind 7x3.5

Ok that makes being a lightning fan more stressful than 20 other teams really? Maybe the penguins or Chicago less stressful but hell the rangers are more than halfway to their next cup it's been almost 30 years Boston 1 cup in 50 years LA 2 CUPS IN 50 YEARS Vancouver Buffalo zero cups EVER. I truly feel spoiled as a lightning fan not stressed

I would say having hope just to get is squashed during the season lol. Having no hope to start the season means you can't be let down and thus not as stressful, at least to me lol.

I like the Kings tbh but the Oilers are more talented. I think it will be one of those 5 game series that all the games are back and forth, and it feels like a very even series but still Oilers in 5
