Opening Night Roster
This looks like the 21 man roster that will start the year, I think if 1 of lehtonen/dermott show they can play the right side well early, holl is gone and theyll call up engvall to push the forward group a little

Why tho
Its just an insurance thing, Dell has to clear waivers to be sent to the minors so hutchinson is there just in case he gets picked up, and its a 2 year deal because they need to expose 1 goalie to the expansion draft that is signed past this year (Andersen and Dell both are not) so Campbell is protected in the expansion draft and the leafs meet the requirements by exposing hutchinson
Will most likely split time with Dell and Woll with the Marlies

I think ottawa has the assets that they still do that trade in a heartbeat, but i think you could make the case that his point totals are slightly inflated due to playing on a loaded lightning team

I think you could probably remove logan brown from that deal, a 1st and 2nd for cirelli seems like a fair deal (similar to the pageau deal) and i find pageau and cirelli similar players

Sorry forgot to quote my other reply and i just like the debate, i think youre probably right in they dont need johnsson either way bc hes not a guy any team really needs

Ok in my opinion johnsson > milano
So you trade one of your better lw (rakell or heinen) to make your team better in other areas and johnsson can fill that middle 6 lw spot
I think neither comtois nor jones have showed they can produce enough right now to be given that spot out of training camp so you play johnsson there until one of them earns it, and then johnsson can slide down the lineup. It makes the nhl team better right now and and provides depth in case of injuries

I was thinking at more of the bigger picture; figured they could trade for johnsson, as he will come cheap to replace heinen or rakell who they could trade to upgrade elsewhere

<strong>Pretty wild stuff we're seeing here ... Talk about a complete reversal of fortunes. </strong>
We're comparing high 1st rounders (5th + 15th) to a late 4th rounder (124th).
And this is just their D+1 seasons ... it's not like a lot of time has gone by.
Truly and utterly shocking results ... I am literally speechless.</div></div>
One was 20 years old and two of them were 18 in there first year of college, i would say caufield's and turcotte's numbers were more impressive, thats not to take away from what abruzzese was able to do though, still impressive

I promise you, you would like Savard just as much Ceci and he has another year left on his contract

CBJ could and would trade Savard for a decent prospect and a 1st before the package above, or a scoring winger. Someone would pony up for a shut down right side D man who plays with an edge when needed, eats up big minutes, and doesn’t take many penalties. Good all around team guy.</div></div>
I would like you to google the following trades: Subban to NJ trade, Faulk to St. Louis trade, Niskanen to Philly trade, Braun to Philly trade, Oleksiak to Dallas trade, Ian Cole to Columbus trade, and Sami Vatanen to NJ trade

deadline moves and next year opening roster
I like the trades! I think the goalie market is normally very slow and teams normally get less value than they should for them so Anderson may bring in slightly less than a 3rd potentially, and i personally think pageau is more likely to bring in a 2nd + a decent but not great prospect, rather than a 1st

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AFOX10900</b></div><div>I'd pay that to Tkachuk in a heartbeat if he was on PIT (and we had a shred of cap space lol) not July 1 of 2020, but July 1 of 2021 after probably another team leading 80+ point season, playing at roughly a top 10% forward defensively, and after the cap goes up to roughly 90 mil, where 10 mil is now 11% of the cap compared to the roughly THIRTEEN percent TOR gave Marner... You'll be getting the arguably better player (definitely imo) for a cheaper cap hit% (and cheaper cap hit) and you cover those 3 years of UFA status... this is long term, bridge deals are unpredictable and vary wildly</div></div>
Its not an argument...marner is clearly better than tkachuk, however tkachuk is a very good player and does lots of things better than marner, but he will never be better or on the same level as mitch marner
