I think they could take back the player with the least term. But I don't think they want to take back players because we are trying(should) to play the kids.

Hayes isn't very good and is a stat stuffer to say the least. He somehow is an all-star. Debrusk is young and would help the flyers with the lower contract term and he could have a resurgence. Thats how i look at the trade. Hayes is a nice player but needs more around him to be good.
