Gusev, Subban, Simmonds and Hall
We disagree on :
Hughes - Yes he's a rookie, but he is surely a great one. I said 40 points which is relatively safe to say. KK did 34 in Mtl line up with low minutes.
Goaltending, let's see what happens but i think NJ have great hopes on McKenzie.
Glad we argued this with respect ;)</div></div>
The key to the Devils being good is reliable goaltending and the ability to put more pucks in the net.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KCarry74</b></div><div>I guess you are comparing to last year ?
Let's see the difference from last year :
Hall (a full season so 50 more season at 1ppg pace = 50 points more).
Jack Hughes - Probably not a 100 points season, but surely something more than 40 which still give them 40 more points.
PK Subban - Yes, he's a turnover machine. But he's still better than what they had last year.
Nikita Gusev - PRobably the interrogation mark here. Will he do 2 points? 40? 80? who knows. Still, it will be a couple points more.
Wayne Simmonds - Not much of a goal scorer. But eh, he will disturb opponents night after night.
All this for what ? picks</div></div>
Gusev: who knows how good he can do
Simmons: 5 million for a pest is not what NJ is paying for
Jack Hughes: a rookie, pump the brakes a bit, let him play some NHL hockey
Taylor Hall: I watched him in Windsor, he is amazing and underrated
PK Subban: Absolutely an improvement
Exact same "goaltending" scratch one Keith Kinkaid, i doesn't need to be elite but it does need to be consistent and it is not consistent

Boston drafted Zboril, Debrusk, Senyshyn Back-to-Back-to-Back directly ahead of Barzal-Connor-Chabot in that order
They screwed up massively

Pittsburgh is not a playoff team. Also New Jersey needs to prove themselves, they are better on paper but that doesn't mean much when you were terrible

Unless the Sabres, Habs and Panthers kick ass next season.
3rd in Met if the Islanders take a step back like I think they will
Atlantic will take Wildcard more than likely

3 team make it per division, Flyers are wildcard.

Bringing some talent and native
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Barbs</b></div><div>Sounds like a problem for 3 years from now...</div></div>
Not in 3 years, over the next 3.
Domi, Evans, Mete next offseason
Gallagher, Kotkaniemi, Danault, Fleury, Lindgren, Verbeek, Pezzetta, Poehling, Weal the next
Ristolainen(if he's traded for), Chiarot, Suzuki, Teasdale, Primeau, Kulak in 3 years
That's not a problem for 3 years from now, that's a problem at the end of this year.

Taking on over 10 million dollars in Marchessault and Gourde is not a great idea since Montreal needs to resign half the roster over the next 3 years

Chiarot, Reilly, Kulak account for 6,85 million not 10. Price and Weber account for 18,3 million not 27.
Trading Lehkonen for a center is completely unnecessary
