Sounds like that is realistic. Point being that even throwing some cash at Bunting (which is not for sure) they can bring this same roster back next year. Not really in cap hell anymore with just Knies and Woll looking like NHL regulars now

As soon as you trade JT it's a wreck.
His contract lines up with Marner so I can see him staying for less and keeping them both

I also don't think it takes 9 mil for Kadri. 8-8.5 x 7 would likely do it. He's 31 so the 7 years is huge
Front load it to hell and he may retire early

Of all the things to say here why would you think the leafs need to pay 3rd + 6th to trade Holl?

Lol I think the high betting odds are still a playoff spot. Nobody else will be in. Likely the same 8 maybe not bruins with injuries. But after that I don't expect much

I like Lou more than Dubas but he ****ed us also. He started it with the Marleau deal. Then he did his stupid "if you have time use it" to walk all the way to RFA with Nylander. That caused Matthews to wait and get overpaid and they couldn't accept the 9milx8 Marners camp offered the summer of 18-19. Lou did a lot of good but he also ****ed a lot up here too.
Shanahan is the real issue. He's been here through it ll

There's really nothing I don't like outside of the train wreck goalie situation. The team as a whole doesn't get enough credit for how well defensively they were last year and then played TB well.
But like I said the goaltending is a laughable gamble.

My issue was knowing for 12-18 months you were walking to UFA with your starting goalie and then running out of options.

It's not a disaster. They will still be a top 8-10 team. But another year wasted of this core. I do not like Dubas what so ever and do not know many who do anymore

Exactly 30 other teams would pay more for Kane.
Barrie is worth literally nothing in a trade. The entire NHL knows he's an anchor.
Kane has to approve a deal and I don't think he wants to go to Edmonton

Engvall I think is sniffing 2+ mil. Don't like it either but seeing what is being paid these days he might. Douglas I think takes the step this year if not another plug can.
I don't think Boosh makes a ton
