We need right shot D. We have way too many lefts in the lineup. Dumba is a good heavy d man.

I am predicting that they won't be in a playoff position by the trade deadline. Kane has a clause in his contract that he is to be traded to a contender if thats the case. They get a pick and a pretty good D prospect. Not a bad return for a guy you signed for nothing. I think he would like playing with Matthews... and knies

We have no reason to make that trade. Thats our two best prospects. No thanks from the leafs

I like this team overall.. but I would rather keep liljegren and not sign dermott. Give up the pick with Murry and send hit to Chicago as I think they could use him. Over all, good work here

If the cap hit was 6 mill then yes a 1st, but for a 4.8 cap hit.. no. A 2nd at best

With the talent of nylander and a good goalie in return... I thought that would do it. Gibson is an upgrade for sure, but he wants out.

nylander to dc
In moving Nylander, I fully expect that to happen, the leafs would need a couple of young cheap players that can play every day... not an 6 million dollar winger. I like Martha, but the caps would have to eat some salary to make it work. Maybe not have Murry in that deal and add a pick. Leafs can dump Murry in Chicago for cheap

Solves the cap problem this year and beyond. We cannot afford nylander for the price I figure he wants. Also bring in a couple of speedy wingers that are tough to play against and from the Toronto area

Kampf is a career 4th liner... a very good one, but still a 4th liner. Acciari, also bottom 6 at best. Great physical player, but lacks the scoring touch as does Kampf and points = $. Its rare to see defensive specialists earn big bucks

Florida is not getting the respect they deserve. They beat Boston and now toronto. They have, by far, the best goalie left in the playoffs and scoring depth. Toronto should have beaten them.. but so should have Boston.. I only ask for actual conversation in the thread... not just blurbs and shouts

Honestly, I think there should be a choice made between marner or matthews.. its hard to trade a guy who plays in all situations and puts up almost 100 pts a year or a guy that nets at minimum 40 goal a year. That being said.. I am not sure that they have what it takes to win it all... but we still have **** and I don't think he has the balls to trade one or both

Leafs Add Three Power Forwards
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingExLeafs</b></div><div>It's not about hiding money or circumventing the cap. It's about icing a healthy roster. Murray doesn't pass the smell test. He could be declared healthy on March 3rd and pick up a new injury on March 7. It would be a mistake for Dubas to take him off of LTIR on the assumption that he'll stay healthy. It will be gross negligence on his part. He needs every cent to make this team better by March 3, he has already sold off so much of the future in terms of picks.</div></div>
When Murry is healthy, you cannot just leave him on Ltir. Thats against league rules as it concerns the cba. So, yes you want a healthy lineup and want to use every cent to make the team better, but unless is like Muzzin's case where it has been declared that he is done for this year, you have to have the room for when Murry is cleared, even if it is for one game.

Granted, but you have to assume he will be on the roster at some point before the playoffs and have a cap compliant team. Not many can pull off a Tampa and hide 9 mill all season

Washington isn't getting proper value for Jensen.
Jensen to the Leafs is definitely possible though. I don't see the need for Sheary though.</div></div>
I feel Sheary still has enough left to play a role in the top 6. He has wone the cup along side Sid. I feel like he would allow us to move ROR to the third line an really push any team with our depth down the middle. I definitely don't mind giving up more to get it done. Even replace the pic with a first

I am a leafs fan and those are both bad trades. Also, when Murry comes back this week this team won't work under the cap. Lastly, Amirov is not a trade asset at this point. He has brain cancer and the leafs are seeing him through it.
