Savard got term and is a big physical minute eater. Not much of that this TDL
If TOR wanted a 2nd with him MTL would say no as why should they do that lul. TDL is when teams pay for guys like him. Look at McCabe did we get a 2nd back no lul
Might get Savard with ret with our first but thats really it

IDK what players you are talking abouy since MTL have zero significative center prospect. Even Beck has a bottom 6 ceiling at most.
No clue why MIN fans want to trade us Gaudreau all the time, but at that price, we would take him in a heart beat.

At 2.1 AAV for a guy who scored 40 points in his 2 previous seasons, we absolutely accept.
With the cap rising, even if he is more of a 30 point guy thats still a great contract for us

Rangers Deadline
That retention probably doesn't happen. His remaining salary/cap-hit at the TDL is less than 500K, the 250K retention probably means very little to NYR but it means the world to the Habs who need it to trade another player on a worse contract.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jay27</b></div><div>The first point is not unreasonable, the AGM isn’t always going to agree with the GM they’re not hired to be yesmen. In interviews Groton only really had nice things to say about him.
Now the second point. I would assume that would lead to bad blood with James Dolan, not Drury. From what I’ve seen and heard Dolan isn’t exactly the easiest guy to get along with…
You may be right about bad blood between Drury and Gorton but I just haven’t actually read or heard of any actual prove of this so I’m going to stick to the assumption they don’t have anymore of an issue dealing with each other as they do with any other GMs in the NHL.</div></div>
Well it could be nothing between Drury and Gorton, but I can see Gorton not playing nice with the NYR organization trying to make a trade
But Dolan might be the worst pro sports owner ever

Realistic other than Allen. I honestly think Allen would be an absolute stud on a team like Carolina, Colorado or New Jersey. But I just don't see a team paying a second. I think someone offers a 4th or 5th with no retention and thats what they eventually accept.

Avs don't want Evans in this trade, but i'm sure they're prepared to trade RyJo & the 2024 1st for Monahan if Henrique doesn't work. Monahan's footspeed is a concern for the Avs, but his playmaking is good, his goalscoring is good, and gives us the ability to have a legitmate PP2 which we have straight up not had this year.
Monahan straight up for a 1st is not happening for the Avs i would guess. They cannot have that kind of footspeed issues in two of their centers.

Move to the wing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsFan33</b></div><div>I'm not very good at math but looking at the official stats on NHL.com, Monahan has 4 goals/16 assists and Savard has 4 goals/11 assists for a combined 8 goals and 27 pts 5v5. That's a little more than 19 pts combined.
I get that you don't like Montreal and/or Monahan or Savard but when using stats has the only deciding factor about the value of a player, you could at the very least use the correct stats.</div></div>
The game against the Bruins wasn't pretty, but Monahan's 3 points was one of the only positives.
I am not making the argument that Monahan is "as good" as Lindholm, but I find it funny how people on this site say Monahan is crap (while trying to trade for him) and Lindholm is easily worth the usual Center packages we see at the TDL.
Monahan has more goals and points per game than Lindholm at this point... He can be had for a fraction of the cost. I just don't get the hate.
