oh yeah 100% . i remember whe thei signed zucc i was really wondering what the hell the wild was doing. but he developped such great chemistry with kaprizov its now a bargain contract. the wild future qould be so bright witouth the paraise and suter buyout. no one would even say anything about zucc contract.

I mean, I guess we will see what happens. I just don’t know if I would want to bridge a guy like Boldy. Then again, it would be hard to sign him for an expensive contract after just one season. I personally would be scared to bridge him, especially if he gets better and demands a lot like Kaprizov did, but I see why you would. You have a lot of money in buyouts. Waiting for them to go down would be awesome!

They are allowed to change it year to year. Here's a quote from Russo immediately after the Staal trade in 2020:

Nice good find, that spells out it pretty nicely.

And yeah, that’s a good point on the TDL deadline for McBain. Im hoping he gets moved before, just so we can see the value……it’ll also be nice to not see 100 comments saying he’s worthless and can force UFA.

That's just it. I don't think he realisticly has a shot. Strome, Toews, TJ, Lafferty and the Ice Hogs #1C is Reichel and Dach isn't a guaranteed winger either.
You and I are saying the same thing. McBain will have to accept that he'll likely be in the AHL for 2 years before he gets a shot. Borgstrom plays wing for CHI.
