<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>theleano1</b></div><div>the issue is Manatha is cost controlled for the next 3 years where Reinhart is not, that was a terrible trade by the caps anyway it won't set the market, There are more factors at play in that Manatha trade then there will be in a Reinhart trade, I'll give you that Reinhart has been on average a 20 goal 50 point guy the issue is that the relationship is so ****ed with the Saberes it will almost be imposable for them to get full value i really don't see Van trading hoglander or really anyone in the top 6 for Reinhart i really do see it being a 1st and b+ prospect other wise it just doesn't make sense</div></div>

There is no bad relationship with the Sabres...after 6 yrs of not seeing improvement, continually changing GM's and coaches with guys with no experience and losing he just wants to win and see the playoffs. Do you think the Sabres would be in this position if they were winning? I don't blame either Eichel, Reinhart or Ristolainen for being tired of what this organization has done in their time here. The Pegulas should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done to this team.
As for value there is always one GM that will pay the price, there are teams asking that maybe Ristolainen also be added in any trade for either Eichel or Reinhart. Actually Friedman said the Sabres are getting plenty of interest in Reinhart. It's all about who wants him the most which ups his value. To be honest I can't wait til this is over so we all see what the value of Eichel and Reinhart is and for that matter Ristolainen bc he is a RH shot and physical which seems to be what some teams are looking for

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JayTea</b></div><div>In the case of the Wild trade, the trade above is too much and wouldn't work for the Wild. Why would they give up their center who just came in 4th on Selke voting when the goal of an Eichel trade would be for them to have Eichel-Ek as their 1-2 punch down the middle? Fiala may need to go to clear cap, but Boldy probably stays so they can shoot for a Cup next year. Any team acquiring Eichel is doing it to win now, so they're not mortgaging their immediate future.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caerii</b></div><div>I don't think it's unreasonable to say the Sabres are NOT going to get these types of deals. None of us know what the exact deal will be, but it's pretty safe to say it's not the OP's packages. If you think the Sabres are really going to pull something like one of the packages listed, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jdfitz77</b></div><div>Let’s say you’re right
Why do u care that myself &amp; other Sabres fans will be disappointed?

Also…. There’s a way to voice that opinion without being the douchebag that MANY on here are being</div></div>

Sorry all. Didn't mean to start an argument. I apologize for being hopeful my favorite team will get a somewhat exciting return in a trade that involves losing our 24 year old superstar captain/my favorite player in the midst of a 10 year playoff drought. My bad for not wanting to believe we're going to trade Jack Eichel for something that ends up along the lines of Macro Sturm, Wayne Primeau, and Brad Stuart. Guess my hockey knowledge worse than I thought and i maybe don't belong on this site

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DennisReynolds</b></div><div>Let me ask you a question:

Let’s Say Buffalo and Anaheim were fipped, and let’s say Buffalo was three years in to a rebuild, and three years removed from a 105 point season.

<strong>Would you trade Dylan Cozens with the number two or three pick with two more pieces to acquire Jack Eichel who is coming off a neck injury and you have no idea how he is going to come back?
</strong>
Not to mention yea he has term....he has plenty of term, but he has a no trade clause coming into play next season and that will only further drive down his value once that comes into play, and he is also disgruntled and to be honest, probably not a guy you’d want to have in your locker room leading a young team at this point with how unhappy he is and clearly needs a change.

I bet you wouldn’t trade Cozens who is probably as close to Zegras or Byfield as it gets.

I bet you would be willing to give up Jack Quinn, Viktor Olafsson. the number three pick, and maybe Ukko-Pekka Lukkonen for Eichel though?</div></div>

If Matthews were on the block and it started with Cozens as part of the give back I tell him to start packing and 1OA in this draft goes also as long as Matthews has term like Eichel does. I honestly think the injury is being over played by Eichel....if you saw his exit interview he made it sound like the Sabres were the bad guys but the next day Adams did his season ending interview and he didn't let the writers start with questions he cleared it up off the get go, Sabres exercised their rights according to the CBA...end of story. No rebuttal from Eichel. It was a ploy on Eichel's part to cause controversy and get out of dodge. Insiders like Friedman have said the Sabres want to part ways with Eichel, job accomplished by Eichel. My bet he gets traded and we never hear about his neck injury again and he laces up the skates on opening day.
