Vegas Cap Fix
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tvh_0703</b></div><div>I'm not sure what it would all take, but to get Strome and cap dump Fleury would be worth more futures for sure. If Chicago asks for Glass, Vegas might push someone like Peyton Krebs and a pick instead since Glass is a capable 3C. If Chicago decides that they want to keep Toews and Kane happy, they may try to get an actual starting goalie. If they ask for too much for Strome, then Vegas could package Fleury and a 1st for a throw in, and then sign someone like Haula as a cheaper option.</div></div>
I think they would be interested in Krebs. Chicago talked about a rebuild this offseason, if they really wanted a starter the would have just kept Crawford who signed for only 3.9 mil and didnt want to give him the extra year. So I dont know why they would want a worse goalie in MAF at 7 Mil. So I dont know why they would do that just for a starter. Now I can see them making a deal for MAF because Vegas is cap strapped and could pry someone like Krebs, Glass or an extra 1st out of there. But if you want Chicago to talk MAF and give up on Strome I think it would be higher in my opinion. I mean look what they took from the Canucks for Schmidt, Vegas only got a 3rd for him and hes a top 4 d man, not a goalie making 7 mil who is on the back half of his career.

To get Strome and Dump MAF I think Chicago would start by asking for Cody Glass

You wouldnt have Zadorov on D. Since Saad would have never come back.

trying out trades
I dont get the Hawks trade. Ive seen it a bunch on here and it makes no sense. Why would the Hawks give up Boqvist who they are high on and a first in a deep draft for Andersen. When they could potentially sign Crawford for less. Plus the goalie market this year is crazy. Markstrom, Crawford, Holtby to name a few are all UFA and could get them without giving up what this trade proposes.

Leafs Can Stop Sucking I hope
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Amakiir</b></div><div>It's not just two 1sts for Nylander, it's a 2nd back. So to be honest, I think a poor team would take this trade a lot more eagerly. I was trying to think of someone like Florida or Arizona. Reason being is they're poor and most of his salary has been paid for the remainder of the contract. I only picked Chicago because his brother is there. But after discussions in this thread, I honestly believe he'd reach his potential under some hard ass like Trotz or Torts. Nylander is a sick player, but dear god can he be a lazy sh**.</div></div>
Chicago would be smart to get rid of his brother. He's done absolutely nothing.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Amakiir</b></div><div>Fair enough, thanks for explaining. I think the value on Nylander here is very fair and even potentially underpriced, but I also get what you're saying. If it doesn't work for the team I hear you.</div></div>
I dont know if thats underpriced for Nylander. 2 firsts is a lot for any team to give up. Nylander is a good winger but I cant think of a player the has been traded for 2 first round picks.

The hawks are trying to reload and are looking more on the blueline. 2 firsts is steep for Nylander in my opinion. Id say a 1st, a good prospect and a roster player maybe.

If the expansion rules are the same, you will have to protect Faulk since he has a NTC.

Do the leafs even have the cap space for this? They have Zach Hyman coming back from injury at 2.5 mil. They would have to more than just Kapanen.

Chicago passes for sure. They need help on defense more than anything and to trade away probably the best defensive prospect in the system plus what will probably a good NHLer with the 3rd overall pick would be foolish.

As a Hawks fan as well, I do this. Perlini was streaky all season and was health scratched multiple times. Trouba would be a big help for the Hawks back end.
