BIG MEATY CLAWS
As trade proposals go these are among the most realistic I've seen on here. I would hang onto Holtz, dealing him for a 28 year old winger could backfire if Holtz becomes the player they expect. Not to mention, qualifying Buchnevich will be in the $6-7 million range while Holtz should be fairly affordable for the next few years.

Prepare for 2025-2026
You're assuming all of these picks will be NHL ready for 2024-25. Personally, unless you can fleece someone for Hartman you try to sign him. He's likely increasing his salary after 2023-24 since he's probably the most underpaid guy in the league right now. Because Guerin appears to really appreciate what he brings and if he is healthy and productive next season I see no reason not to re-sign him. Maybe 5 years x $5m.

I would guess the Wild could be interested, however, they would have issues fitting the salary.

An alternative look at Addison to DET
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jnowariak</b></div><div>IMO, this is an overly simplistic reason. Addison will never be a stout D zone defender due to his size but can likely improve his poke checking ability and can already defend the rush with his skating, which is a complementary skill given how he should play in the O zone. Evason wants to play a game that assumes players don’t have any skill and that really kills potential for guys like Addison.</div></div>
Speaking of over simplistic, Evason wants to play a game assuming players have no skill? If Addison played the game like Spurgeon you could do this. But he refuses because apparently he knows better. That tells me he needs to be awakened by being traded. If you look at teams remaining in the playoffs defensive size or players who play above their weight class is key. He cannot play defense like he's 5-9 170 lbs.

Minnie being realistic
Why do the Wild being one of two teams with 100 points in the west the last 2 seasons need to "rebuild the roster"?
They can go into next season with pretty much the same team, bring in some of the younger guys like hopefully Rossi and Beckman. Continue developing the guys like Lambos, Hunt, Peart in the minors. The European prospects stay in Sweden and Russia until Fall 2024 (as Michael Russo has stated numerous times). Then just as the young guys take over more of the roster they will literally have $30-40 million to add from free agency in 2 years.
It feels like a Stars fan poking the bear here. No way they move Foligno for a 6th round pick.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>What's the story with Addison anyways, he seems affordable is he that bad defensively that Minny is just moving on ?</div></div>
Wild need to get bigger on the right side. Spurgeon/Addison/Faber don't provide much size and teams with bigger LW's can give that trio problems.

"We're not trading back" do you ride on Stevie Y's shoulder or how do you fit the equation because I always laugh when I see people on these sites who act as though they know exactly what the actual GM is thinking. From a strictly value this isn't a horrible trade and you have ZERO clue if it would interest the actual GM.

Even the EK65 trade is dreaming. You expect SJ to eat $2.5m in salary and your giving up nothing? You might get that trade if there is no salary retained. Kind of an expensive extra forward in Nick Bonino.

My take is quantity does not equal quality. It's basically Suzuki for Bedard because Slafkovsky and the 1st rounders are unproven.

Addison Trade Comps
I could see Addison and pick 22 to move up a few spots if there is someone the Wild really want. I think if someone really likes him they could use him to move up a few spots.
Otherwise he gets a 2nd and 4th rounder in different years. Look at teams that have multiple 2nd rounders this year like Chicago and Arizona.

I think Boeser has value but right now the Wild have no cap space and no interest in dealing Yurov and a 1st round pick for him.
If they had cap space maybe a 2nd rounder and Calen Addison.

Not sure they'd do it even for Byrum. Unless the Avs want to deal a player from their core like Toews likely the Avs don't have the assets to get him.

Pretty awful for the Canucks, Girard has value although not as much as Avs fans appear to think. Meyers has less than negative value.

Trading Foligno
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>It's hard to imagine a team trading for one season of a 32-year-old Marcus Foligno, who's owed $4.1 million on a cap hit of $3.1 million, and paying even a bottom-quarter first for him. Frankly, I think that Foligno is one of those heart-and-soul guys who's more valuable to the Wild than he would be to any other team. Plus, everyone knows that Minnesota would be putting him on the market to relieve some of their cap pressure, which diminishes his value even further.</div></div>
If Foligno gets moved this summer it's to a cup contender in need of some grit and leadership. The Wild would be looking at possibly a 2nd rounder or a chance to flop picks. Something along the lines of Foligno and the Wild 2023 2nd rounder for a 2023 1st rounder in the 25-32 range. Remember, this draft has depth and there isn't a huge spread in talent between picks 25-60. That being said if the Wild could grab someone they really like with a last 1st and there is a contender who is willing to move back to get a player like Foligno.

Why would the Wild make this trade exactly? QUANTITY DOES NOT EQUAL QUALITY! If I give you 8 oz of warm Milwaukees Best in a plastic cup or 4 oz of 20 year old Scotch which do you take?

Already a foregone conclusion Bjugstad is going back to Arizona. I think the only thing that changes that is if the Oilers offer him a decent deal to return. Especially if they don't win the cup this year. Michael Russo visited with him before the deadline and he really liked living in Phoenix with the weather and laid back atmosphere. The Rangers likely have to offer him considerably more to draw him there.

Really? They laugh their way off the phone? You must have a crystal ball. This is 12-18 months out and I'm assuming obviously more than you are that this pick will be in the 20-30 range unless you plan on the Edmonton/Montreal rebuild which puts you in the lottery another 5-7 years.
I'm assuming Rossi comes to camp quicker and ready to contribute and the Wings 2025 pick is in the 20-25 range. I'm sure in that scenario Yzerman laughs and hangs up. Wow.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>I don't see the first two trades happening, and not because Boston says no. Ullmark blocks the trade to ASU, and Winnipeg isn't giving up an asset for Reilly.
There are places you can move Ullmark for assets, unfortunately the team that really needs a few years of a solid tender I don't think Ullmark would permit himself to be traded too.</div></div>
The thought was Boston needs affordable centers who can play. They're hard to find and Boyd is a nice player who comes cheap. McBain is a better player than I thought he'd be and is also cheap. The B's have only one center signed right now.
