Something like that. Stanley is nothing to us. Adding a 3rd gets it done

Islanders say no. Add another pick or 2
And Kaliyev you could get straight up for a 3rd

Pickering is a LhD, so he would be redundant in light of Mintyukov, LaCombe and Vaakanainen behind Fowler with Zellweger and possibly Hinds coming up. But you're absolutely right in that he has the kind of quality that we'd be considering if there was a fit there.

In terms of quality yes, but ANA has too deep of a LD pool as it is which is why I didn’t mention him
(Mintyukov, Zellweger, Lacombe, Vaakanainen, Hinds, Dionicio)

The Jets need top 4, preferably top pairing RHD, not another LHD of any kind. There's no reason for Winnipeg to look at it.

Probably need a secondary trade to dump Schmidt, isles only move on from pulock with an abundance of cap room to go spend along with picks and prospects. Indirect benefit.

Guessing Lambert and the 2025 1st would be the starting point as the rumor from Friedman is Dubas wants a Giroux package which was a late 1st, good prospect, and additional mid rounder. Might want more based on what other offers he can get. Guentzel only has a 12 team block list and WPG might actually be on it too.

Gonna say you are under valuing Laine. Jets need more goals. He solves that. Schmidt's cap hit is bad. They need a RHD. Boqvist solves that. If anything, I think it favors WIN the more I look at it.

How are you ok with keeping Schmidt and his contract? If we can get rid of that contract and bring in a player 1. who has played here before and loved it, 2. bring in a guy who can majorly help on the PP why dont you jump on that? Also getting a young RHD in Boqvist who can help the solidify the right side on defense. It's really a no brainer. Don't get me wrong I really like Iafallo but the left side is majorly crowded especially with Rutger due to make his appearance soon.

Mock trade by whom ? Delusional ducks fans ? I'm not saying ducks won't get a haul for him because wee all saw the PLD fiasco which ended up netting the jets the return they were looking for but guess what even though we saw countless mock trades proposals to montreal he ended up going elsewhere because montreal simply don't do this type of trades anymore
The last time we did it was the drouin/sergachev trade and that ended horrible for us , so no more

Bones Why Are You Such A Dinosaur
You are right, Bones is wrong.
I just don't know how it's supposed to work with all three of Ehlers, Connor and Perfetti in the top six, having three similar players that are all on the smaller side isn't going to work even if they're skilled.
Any offense the 3rd line was generating has dried up and imo Nino is going to waste on that line so move him into the top six to inject some size on the 2nd line.
I'd try this:
Ehlers-Scheifele-Vilardi
Nino-Monahan-Nino
Iafallo-Lowry-Appleton
Barron Namestnikov-Perfetti

The Jets don't have the cap space to pay a 7/8D $2.25 mil. Ceci is in no way a replacement for DeMelo.

Only in very specific situations. Most deadline deals are viewed as rentals and that's not debatable. He woudln't get less than Lindholm or Monahan. He'd get more.

I see the appeal for Anderson from the Sabres perspective but I don't see the need for Kuzmenko.
I also don't see how the Sabres keep all three of centres going-forward as one of the three will want more ice somewhere else and the Sabres will need to plug their holes.
If the Flames end up trading everyone than I can see a deal to he had for Ras, if they want a quick retool I can't see him getting dealt. He is too important to the team.

If CGY is trading Tanev & Hanifin,
then there’s pretty much zero chance they’d move Andersson as well
Also, your proposal is more a “video game” type trade than an NHL one with all those parts included
Highly unlikely imo
I’d love to get Andersson, but it just isn’t happening

I don’t really see this being an issue. Cozens(5), Mitts(2), and Thompson(3) are all each in the top 5 of the Sabres forwards in ice time per game, and each have played at least some wing in the NHL. Mitts in particular can play anywhere in the top 6, so when the Sabres are fully healthy, he can stay at wing or be a 3C with great matchups and still get PP time. If the Sabres sign Mitts for ~7.1 mil a year, they still will have 19 million to resign/replace Krebs, Joki, Girgs, Okposo, UPL, and Erik Johnson. (Some of which might be replaced by prospects).
