Why???
A soon to be 37 year old with 4 years left after this season at a $6.1 million cap hit. This trade is just not it

I don’t know, I feel like this could be a solid option, he fits the timeline and size Grier is looking for and already has some NHL experience. And range 13-25 is not a huge drop off right now.

Canes fans have too high a value for Necas.
He's worth a low 1st round pick.
Why? Because we know Carolina wants to trade him for cap reasons.

Can't see any of those teams even remotely considering trading their pick this year for Necas.

On the off chance McGroarty wont sign hows the value
One was drafted 5h and the other one 14th
One is a RD, the most coveted position, and the other one is a winger, the less coveted position.
One is signed and the other ... well....
Sooooo, nope 100%

Power play specialists that suck at 5v5 aren't worth nearly as much as you think.</div></div>
Except… Matheson has among the top 5 toughest competition among defensemen. He plays real minutes at 5v5 not just munchkins unlike the others you named.
Suggesting he’s not worth more than a 3rd is not knowing anything about the player sorry.

Because Marty literally has said the opposite for other players... He said it for Struble, who happened to get an opportunity because of Xhekaj's injury, he said it for Newhook playing C because Dvorak was injured and Monahan was traded.... I could keep going...
Right now you're either trolling, or just clueless. Please stop.

One is a top line player at 20, the other just became one at 22. Add that Slaf is bigger, stronger and just as skilled and it's pretty easy to say that the Rangers would have to add

Sharks 100% do that deal… if we get 1st OA and Celebrini, and if all the top RD like Parekh, Yakemchuk, Levshunov etc are picked before our turn with the PIT pick.

And just looks what I wrote for the Canes, they can use that to make an offer for a player like Buchnevich.
And when you talking about one of their three roster players, who they are ?</div></div>
He thinks he is getting one of Caufield, Suzuki or Slaf + a 1st for Necas. It's really not worth talking to Canes fans about cause they take delusional to a whole new unforseen level

You didn’t watch any of Struble game because you would have notice him. He isn’t flashy but he is efficient. You can continue with your advanced stats all you want, if you can’t put them in context they aren’t very useful. Watch some fk hockey game and stop analyzing the player through stats sheet. What a lousy way to analyze a players. Deangelo is the best example. Is stats a great but he is a terrible defender. Didn’t need analytics to understand that. I watch hockey, a lot of hockey. You watch a lots of advanced stats . Thats great</div></div>
give it up, he's a fanboy and a hater, 2 in 1. Oh and he doesn't listen to others having the point and brings made up stats

Jets aren't likely to part with McGroarty. I think they like the idea of a power forward with a great shot and a potential future captain.
I don't think Hutson could unseat Morrissey as the PP quarterback next season. Jets have organizational depth on LD.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gretzkyghosts</b></div><div>Well my friends this is a lot closer than the Canadian trades of Baron for Mittelstadt that we have seen so many times, so Jackaille good job!
Joblow you are correct, he is fourth among the Sabre forward prospects not even including Benson, Quinn nor Peterka.
KingMurray maybe as you said a pick from the Canadians would be appropriate.
BUFF36 I do not like the trade either but let's give Jackaille credit for making a trade that actually helps both teams.</div></div>
I agree, it's a decent AGM. It's a Hockey Trade between 2 teams that have some strengths in the Area's of the other teams weakness.
