Like i said earlier he is a bonified middle 6 forward. Nothing that justified the ask of a young top 6 forward.

Referencing +/- in the year of lord 2024 is a bold tactic. Of course he has a high offensive zone start rate... All Hurricanes forwards have a pretty high one except for the Staal line. He has the second-highest amount of goals at 5v5 for the Hurricanes</div></div>
Necas is 94th in overall scoring, 105th ppg average. He have comparable number to the average middle 6 winger. Guy like Drouin, Toffoli, Moore, Coyle, Zacha, Tarasenko, Bjorkstrand, Monahan are all comparable. Necas 71 points was a anomaly last season due to injury he benefited from more first unit pp. he definitely not a top tier forward not even a top 70 forward in the league so that by definition rank him as a middle six forward.

Necas is, despite having one of the highest offensive zone start rate around the league on one of the best goal differential team in the league. He still managed to be a minus players. He isn’t worth a young top 6 players at all. Necas is a bonified average middle 6 winger.

25th pick
Bottom pair affordable D

Don't think that's crazy for a young top-6 forward. If we go by quantity, we need to overpay somehow.</div></div>
Personally i would acquire him, i don’t like the players. But in term of value, i don’t see him getting more then a mid 20’s pick and a b prospect. Especially with the fact he will ask for a significant raise.

Necas start with Maurice Richard, 25 palette of Molson Ex, the next 4 first round pick and Suzuki, Guhle and Slafkowsky. That the cost for a 60 point winger who is terrible defensively.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ht42</b></div><div>All of the 3 players have much more value than Necas...................................... Bergevin isn't anymore the Habs GM.......
Caufield have somes better offensive stats than Necas at a younger age, Suzuki is able to carry offensively a full team and Slaf can hit easily the 70-80 pts mark next season.
But Necas is now 25-26, have a good season (and haved a breakout season last year with playing with Aho, etc.), but already hit his prime.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Subbanator7667</b></div><div>Necas isnt worth any of those three unless Carolina is adding a sweetener. Plus the whole hypothetical situation here is that Necas is a cap casualty, so trading him for a player with the same cap hit or higher doesn't make any sense, which means it would be picks and prospects for Necas.
I get what you want but fans on this site are doing Necas trades with the idea that Carolina can't afford to resign him because they choose to sign Jarvis long term, 8+ million, resign Skeji, resign Pesce and resign Guentzel. Leaving now room for Necas</div></div>
Necas is terrible defensively, i doubt that he will be a target for Hugues and Gorton. Despite playing for one of the best team, despite having one of the highest offensive rate around the league, he still managed to be a minus player.
They can expect any of our player but they can stick with him, Mtl better not approach Necas with a 15 foot stick.

Trade Guhle for forward
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>So then by inescapably logical extension, if Cutter Gauthier is more valuable than Dylan Guenther because the former is a center and the latter is a winger, then Trevor Zegras is more valuable than Cole Caufield even though they have almost identical records because the former is a center and the latter is a winger?
Trevor Zegras: 199 games, 53 goals, 73 assists, 146 points, -44
Cole Caufield: 199 games, 76 goals, 66 assists, 142 points, -42</div></div>
I do think that Zegras have more value then Caufield. Even if Zegras is a total liability defensively. He have a greater impact on a hockey game by is position.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Jamie Drysdale and Kaiden Guhle have very similar records so far, and Drysdale is also considered to be a top-4 defender and if anything, is expected to have a higher upside than Guhle. Guenther has played almost a full season now and Cutter Gauthier hasn't even signed his ELC yet. Gauthier for Drysdale and a second means Guenther for Guhle and a second.
But this is all academic because Arizona isn't about to trade one of their anticipated future franchise cornerstones.</div></div>
Gauthier can play center Guenther is a pure winger.
So Gauthier for Drysdale+ doesn’t = Guenther for Guhle+
I don’t see any of both player being traded, but i know for sure that Andre Tourigny is a huge Guhle fan.

I love Guenther but i don’t think the pick would need to be added from Mtl side. Guenther is a winger, the least valuable position in the sport. Guhle already have established himself as a top 4 defender playing against the top opponents.

The same draft class Connor McMichael so he is probably the biggest bust in NHL history by your standard.

Teams in their cup window don't trade away their best value pieces.</div></div>
Colton play Center, i doubt McFarlane will entertain moving him, Nishuskin isn’t going anywhere. No one giving up assets for Girard contract.
I would say it’s between Manson and Lehkonen and with Kovalenko who is ready to step up and make a impact, Lehkonen could be the odd man.

This is a better return then Bjorkstrand. If Colorado get in cap crunch with Mittlestadt signing they will lost leverage in any personal movement. This have happen before. Predators has to move Arvidsson a couple season ago. Again the return was lesser.

Yeah you heard it right, Wilson is a 30 years old grinder who’s best year are behind. Wilson have had a great career but no gm would keep him if they where proposed a 23 years old sniper. Wilson might have 2-3 years left. Then he will on the decline and he might very well be declining extremely fast considering the style he played throughout is career. There absolutely no argument to be made about that. This is just silly. If both where 23 then the case would be totally different but with the current situation there no debate.

A rookie defenseman who have been put in numerous difficult situation who have been playing good hockey despite playing on a very bad team. You didn’t watch any of Struble game because you would have notice him. He isn’t flashy but he is efficient. You can continue with your advanced stats all you want, if you can’t put them in context they aren’t very useful. Watch some fk hockey game and stop analyzing the player through stats sheet. What a lousy way to analyze a players. Deangelo is the best example. Is stats a great but he is a terrible defender. Didn’t need analytics to understand that. I watch hockey, a lot of hockey.
