Lets get it
I could see scenarios where we both trade Marino (in summer of 2025 maybe...or if we sign a Tanev-type to bridge to Casey)...and also have interest in RyJo (considering the premium our talent evaluators place on skating).. The challenge is that Marino has 8-team NTC starting on July 1st, but no reason to think a good young promising team like Buffalo would be on it.
As it stands today...we are happy keeping Marino at his cap hit. But I could see it if something changes.

Treliving Ruined This Team

He was a horrible GM.</div></div>
He was way better than Treliving. Treliving has made awful trades and signings and didn’t acquire a goalie either. He gave Reaves 3 years which is way worse than anything Dubas ever did

2024
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>No, you're at least in the ballpark of what it would take for Zegras.</div></div>
You arr not getting 2 bluechip assets in a deal for Zegras. Historically even the best of the best that have been traded haven’t gotten those kind of return. Taylor Hall was traded at 24 for Adam Larsson. Taylor Hall and Zegras early career are very much the same. Both where on super bad team, both high draft pick, both producing at a similar pace.
The 2024 Mtl draft pick would be more then enough in term of value, depending on is Anaheim have a player the value at the position Mtl will speak. Mailloux have been a riser from the day he got drafted. He is consider a one of the top NHL prospect. Anaheim ain’t getting those kind of assets combine. Historically it haven’t happened. Zegras isn’t the second coming of the great one. Lower your expectation or it will be brutal if he get traded.

Ullmark for Mercer Guentzel Signing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Schuyler</b></div><div>I'm so over the bad goalie trade post to and from NJ</div></div>
I’d be more over losing due to having a bad goalie. Vitek showed his true colours this season once you guys lost 2 of your best dmen in graves and severson.
You guys need a true starting goalie, that is your missing key to success once you can beat the injury bug.
But acquiring a starter is gonna be expensive especially if Ullmark comes with an extension.
But be my guest and overpay for a 35yr old markstrom or run with Allen as your starter that will get you far. There isn’t a single starting goalie in UFA this season, Talbot is your best option and he’s also 35/36 so go ahead run a very mid tandem and ruin some of your best years with your core.

Bridging players like him is a mistake. Just like it was with reinhart</div></div>
The issue with Reinhart was the 4 year deal. Bridging players on a 2 year deal outside their ELC is perfect because you still have team control. You’re able to sign them from ages 23-25 to 31-33

Adams a Jack Adams

The argument against the Sabres making this deal is plenty strong without using misleading numbers.</div></div>
He has played in 129 games (56, 55, and 18) over the past 3 seasons. That's definitely worrisome for a team giving up a lot of assets in a major overpay.

Ya, that's an easy no for the Sabres. He hasn't played 60 games in a season since 19/20 where he only played 68. He's also just not worth all that.

Iginla and Yakemchuk go high
Honestly, might be kinda "low" for Yak. With the RD demands this year, and him arguably being the 2nd best, if not the 3rd, wouldn't be surprised if he goes top 6.
As for Iggy, I think anywhere 5-10 is in range for him, but 5 is definitely the higher of his range ( I believe I have him 7 in my rankings as of today)

He's an RFA in a league where no one uses offer sheets. He only has so much leverage.
He's also played just 3 seasons in the league, never playing more than 44 games yet. Yes, he has potential to be the clear cut #1, but he hasn't proven that yet, and, as stated, is still an RFA. Saros signed his 3rd deal with more experience, better stats, and an arbitration filing and got 5 million for 4 years. I think you're overestimating what Swayman will get from the Bruins or any other team.
