Kemell would be nice, but he’s not NHL ready and that’s what Alvin and co. are looking for

Nsh needs to add goal scoring and Boeser averages 20 goals a season. Nsh needs to add PP scoring, Boeser adds that.

I think that Vancouver would for the simple fact that they are able to shed salary, add young players and another 1st for this year. It would allow them to either use the pick adding a prospect they need or trade the first to dump more cap

Putting the C up top
Had to find out who Beecher was, but I think that in principle this is not a bad deal for Vancouver. They get the young C they wanted at the deadline and add two D plus a good top F.
They essentially turn one player and his 8mil aav into four players.

There has been multiple reports that Mtl likes Boeser and that a Boeser for Monahan swap would be what a deal would look like. It’s even possible that Vancouver would be interested in it themselves

The pick is because Miller is extended. Been hearing over and over that Yzerman doesn’t want to pay Larkin more than 7. Larkins initial ask is apparently 9

If Vancouver trades him before July 1st he can’t block it, his NMC doesn’t kick in until July 1st 2023
Also, Vancouver would be more interested in a Boqvist because he’s a RHD and young

Minny adds JT with extension in place
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CanucksInPurgatory</b></div><div>Remove the 1st from the Wild then maybe the trade would work. The Wild aren’t interested in Pearson though, and he’d probably play on the 4th line anyway. Plus, how would the Wild be able to sign Miller to an extension given that they are in cap hell?
Getting rid of Dumba would give the Wild 6M in cap space. Pearson being at 3M and Miller signing for around 7-9M would be almost double Dumba’s cap hit for one year. Not sure the Wild would even want Miller. Don’t see them trading Boldy either</div></div>
If Bill Guerin is smart and he can pulls this type of move he does have the cap space to sign JT and take on Pearson plus the added bonus of getting Höglander who they can have full control over gives them the ability to shuffle around the forwards and add more depth.
When it comes to doing other moves realistically the only other area of concern would be the D, but when you look as the prospects they have in the pool they can address those needs internally. I think that overall it’s all about Minnesota adding scoring to remain competitive in the Central while not selling the farm to do it. Sure they give up a 1st and take on cap, but it would give them a top 6 forward, top 9 forward and a young prospect who is due for a bounce back

You are living a fantasy. Imagine thinking it Miller would be signed to extension by cap hell team in Minnesota. Minnesota also taking on cap Dumo. Vancouver fans like yourself need to come down to reality.</div></div>
Minnesota maybe taking on cap, but they are getting control of Höglander and Pearson. Plus the trade only happens with Vancouver having allowed an extension to be negotiated and then a sign and trade deal happening. Given the buyouts that will hamper the cap space Minnesota fans need to understand that they will have to make trades that aren’t very good for them in the moment

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Smithnd47</b></div><div>How do you expect to get both Boldy and 2023 1st for Pearson and Hoglander?!</div></div>
The first is to take Dumba back without retention. Pearson and Höglander are the forwards under team control that helps Minnesota given the buyout caps from Sutter and Parise.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hwjw</b></div><div>Holy smokes, this is so heavily Habs favoured. Vancouver says no way</div></div>
It Habs favoured in terms of the trade it’s self but with the cap space Vancouver could sign a RHD to play in the top four, say Klingberg at 4x4 sliding Schenn down to the third pair. So it would be:
Hughes- Klingberg
OEL-Myers
Dermott/Rathbone- Schenn
Burroughs
As the D.

Cap dump idea
This doesn’t seem to fit Kent Hughes idea of creating cap space. He’s been moving out players to teams who are in compete now mode for guys who have 1 year left on their current contract, meaning that in the next year they can use cap space to chase after some big names in the market.
Moving out players and picks is not the way this current window works for management

This team should be completely disregarded just for dobson alone. 1/5 stars. Cap friendly has to reintroduce the star system because of teams like this.</div></div>
He’s only on the 3rd pair because he’s blocked by Myers. You could also plausibly swap him and Schenn
