No, but Tampa really doesn’t have much else to play with. They’ve been buying consistently and it’s taken a toll on their pool. That’s all I was trying to get at. I just think the Blues could get something similar or probably better at the draft or in the offseason or even possibly next deadline depending on how you view a deferred pick with our timeline.

Tampa TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jukinators</b></div><div>Tampa just simply doesn’t have the prospects that would be of any value to Columbus and we are so low on picks that I figured we can give you a player that will never see a big role as long as vasy is here but can very sneakily crack a spot in Columbus</div></div>
The only issue is Columbus has their own sneaky good AHL goalie already in Greaves...who's still currently the reigning GSAx/60 champion of the <em>NHL </em>for goalies to have played at least one game, and is on track to repeat as champion this year.
I'd take the trade, but under the assumption that Tarasov or Merzlikins are gone next season, and Greaves or Alnefelt are in the NHL as the 1B/2nd goalie (with the other in the AHL).

Fire JBB
ABB- yes his offense has dropped off but he has been producing the same as the other players in the bottom 6 and has really improved defensively blocking passing lanes and on the forecheck. For league minimum he is about as good as you could get
Motte- agree
Stamkos- agree
Seeler- agree
Toffoli- would be a nice addition but would rather spend the cap on defense, the PP spot could go to huuhtanen. Its obviously a risk but we dont have a lot of options
Perbix- agree
sergachev- This is probably a hot take but I think sergachev has always been bad, he is mostly carried by secondary assists on that PP and is awful defensively. I would rather have any other defenseman on that powerplay because he has a tendency to shoot the puck when kuch and stammer are both open and there is no screen in front of the net, just giving the puck away.
Hedman- I think the only reason last year was considered bad for him was because he wasnt quarterbacking PP1, whoever the defenseman is that is running that powerplay gets all of the points and it doesnt really say anything about their game in my opinion. His defense has been awful but its hard to tell if thats the systems fault or his or both.
Cernak- he is definitely a cassualty of the system they are running, he is so much better than this
kuch- he backchecks a little bit sometimes, especially if he is close to the other player on transition but he is invisible on the forecheck
point- agree
hagel- mostly agree but him on PP1 doesnt work, we need a right handed shooter in the spot the way that it is run
cirelli- early on in the season i would agree but lately he has been great both offensively and defensively
Paul- he still puts in the effort and is a solid player but has been losing more puck battles recently
eyssimont- agree
jeannot- I would take it a step further and say he is one of the biggest liabilities on the team. Constantly coughing up the puck, has zero tenacity in his forecheck or backcheck, not a good skater and most of his goals are fluky imo. I honestly think watson is better
vasy- he has been streaky, some games he looks unstoppable and others he hasnt been up to par. Also he still is very vulnerable when getting screened
sheary- before the injury he was probably the worst forward on the team but since coming back I think he has actually been pretty good
sissons- I personally wouldnt give up gauthier for, I think we could sign a similar player through FA
I would expect some of the prospects to make the team next season: goncalves and thompson at the very least but possibly howard, huuhtanen, groshev, or lilleberg depending on how their training camps go.
The biggest problem I dont see being mentioned here is how awful the defensive scheme they are running is. Jeff Blashill is making this defense look like one of the worst in the NHL. From the constant backing up at the blueline to the playing deep in the zone and letting the other team cycle the puck uncontested and letting them stand in front of our goalie with no pushback, its terrible. Its easy to tell its a system thing too because every single defenseman on the team is doing it and they didnt use to before his arrival. He was a terrible head coach in detroit and he should not have been hired just because he was coopers friend.

It may be settling too low on value but it seems as Kravs last game for NYR has been played which will mute his value a bit

Yeah, it's clear Tampa needs help on the blueline and with team defense in general. I'd rather pay an extra prospect/pick for someone like Mayfield l, who is an actual top 6 dman, than overpay for Schenn or just settle for a Braun, Shattenkirk, or Kulikov(although Kulikov wouldn't be terrible either, and cheaper).

tbh probably like the 2025 1st and Foote maybe? I mean idk how high Tampa values him tbh. Assuming not much, that would be my best guess

Tampa looking at pending UFAs
While Hertl would be a great add, I can't see Brisebois giving up the team's best RD and C prospects, plus a 1st and 3rd, for a rental. Tampa would need retention regardless, and they would have to trade one of Palat or Killorn at the tdl to fit Hertl in. While Hertl is better than Palat or Killorn, doesn't he primarily play C, a position Tampa isn't really in need of? If Tampa and Hertl had a handshake extension in place then I could see something like this, but since Tampa may not be able to keep both of Palat and Killorn after this year, it's hard to see how they could keep Hertl beyind this year. For a rental Hertl.with some retention, I could see a 1st, 3rd and one of the bettee prospects, but not both. Someone like Rakell, Namestikov, Jarnkrok or McCann may be a better fit and not cost as much.

I really have no sense on his future and not much has been reported. If he's happy here and thinks he has a chance of winning the maybe he takes a little less to stay, but I can totally see teams throwing $6.5/$7M at him.

UFA Namestnikov could be available if/when Detroit falls out of playoff contention. Likely cost a 3rd Rd pick.

Sergy gone
I’d look to get maybe some RD help like Roy or Grans+Turcotte, but either the ‘22 1st or maybe ‘23 1st would be interesting. Sergachev may reach top pairing caliber, but he still needs to both be more consistent and take another step. If Tampa has to move on from one of the 3 main rfas, Serg is the logical choice. If Tampa could get Roy+Turcotte, the d Corp is more balanced for several more years, or if Grans+Turcotte they’d get an RD that could be ready for some time by next year. In any case, having C depth of Point-Cirelli-Turcotte-Colton is quite good, and if Killorn stays in this scenario then the top 6 just needs to replace Palat most likely. Joseph may be that guy, or perhaps another young F. Alternatively, with Finley probably coming up in 2 years, Tampa could try and look for a W replacement in the top 6 for Sergachev. L.A. also has some good options there as well.

Sergy gone
Well, maybe I'm crazy, but as a Kings guy, I make that trade in a heartbeat. Sergachev fits Rob Blake's parameters to a T: young (under 26) high-quality LD who can be signed long-term. Sergachev-Anderson-Bjornfot-Clague on the left and Roy and Walker on the right as Doughty ages out and Clarke comes up is the foundation for serious contention. And the fact that the pick is in 2023 instead of 2022 isn't lost on me.

They most likely don't. Back to back Cups are due in large part because of the depth on the back end.

Sergachev or McDonough
Sergachev would be the easiest and get the most value, but hes also the youngest and if we kept him he needs to be signed in 2 years and who knows how much he wants. McDonagh has been our rock since he got here and while yes he is older and has the longer contract, He will cost less than Sergy and i think he is more valuable to Tampa than Sergy is. Id rather move Sergy out for prospects and picks and use the free cap to keep Cirelli and Cernak around
