I look at him as the next Valeri Nucuskin and I think cause of recency bias a lot of GM"s see him as the exact same way.

A lot of fans (including myself) overvalue players on favourite teams, and can't come to terms with a value more accurate lol.</div></div>
That's the big problem with this site. Is that there are very few trades where that people agree on because you love every player on you're favourite team and don't want to see them go unless it's for an offer that's to good to ignore which is the bias in a lot of posters as they want to get an outlandish offer rather than look at reality and see the value as it means one of there favourite players is going.

It's closer when you think of the value needed to dump Kassian and then the value needed to get Brown.
I would also like to say that I was reading a TSN article today and most scouts that the writers talked to and I think it was Jason Bukula who wrote the article said that he was worth a third or a late 2nd. Might've been Mark Spector if not Jason Bukula.

If the Oilers want someone like that they could get Nick Deslauriers as a UFA for similar AAV and no trade needed. Although the retention on Brown's Salary is nice. Would be nice for Oil to just add in a pick instead of Savoie for some salary retention and Kassian's cap dump. Although I see what you are doing there with the players and proposals, and I don't think you're too far off. Good suggestion!</div></div>
Thanks I added Watson just as a replacement to the beefiness that Kassian is providing to the lineup and worst comes to worst you could bury him.
He's also good enough to play on 2PK and not harm the team and he is an amazing teammate and person.

I didn't cause Savoie is a really good prospect who could be a good middle six winger for the Sens this year with a lot of scoring touch. That and I think that Sens fans like myself do overvalue Brown a bit and I would think that the returns would be a slighly scalled down Lehkonen or Coleman trade.

But building an arena....it isn't so much the cost of building arena that is stumbling block for owners/cities, it's what entity covers the of the operating overages. The owners never want to pay for it and never does the cities.. Unless the arena is operating with events about 230 days a year, that doesn't cover the the cost of the arena.
Hockey has about 50 games....what about the 180 dates? Can Ottawa support that?
The LA, Toronto, and Rangers arenas have the most dates in North America.</div></div>
Totally understand your argument but the city and the team have shown a willingness and even if it's not extremely profitable it is probably more likely profitable than the CTC which is a 20m drive from some of the suburbs and an even longer drive from down town.
I just really think that the team and the city really want an arena downtown cause that opens up tons of options.

I'm not all that well versed on Wild players but I don't think that Dumba is not all that bad in his own zone.
I've also always though of him as a shutdown D but I think a better term is a good two way transitional D.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IcemanJoe</b></div><div>Russo kind of mentioned on KfAN that there was risk in waiting for the draft. With the other scorers on the market LAK could’ve turned their attention elsewhere. And supposedly BG and our scouts love Faber, they wanted him in the deal. I think BG maybe could’ve gotten more by waiting for the draft but he also potentially could have gotten less when the musical chairs ended.
This also signals the end of Dumba in MN. I just wonder if they trade him now or at the deadline? Feels like a waste to let him walk via FA for nothing.</div></div>
It'll be tough to get a read on Dumba cause Faber likely takes his spot in the future when they sign him to his ELC but I wouldn't be suprised if Guerin held him as an own rental cause even though Dumba is valuable he is probably more valuable to the team making a push next year and keeping Karprizov happy then trading off a solid RHD that can shutdown. I also think that Guerin might jump through more hoops to keep Dumba.

Why I think the Sens weren't really in the bidding. They can spend 7,75m on a UFA (not necessarily this year) instead of Fiala and keep their 7th overall pick or top prospects (whatever the selling price was)</div></div>
Sens are one of those teams that can't afford the big name guys and they have to build through the draft.
The fact that Tkachuk, Batherson, Chabot, and hopefully others have signed long-term is a great thing for the organization and the city. Now it's time to get an arena on LeBreton Flats.

Lol there were plenty of reasonable Wild fans proposing or discussing returns very similar to 19th + Faber. Id even argue that 19th OA + Grans was probably one of the most popular frameworks on this site.
But yeah, always nice to hear some veiled condescension from a 3rd party, so cheers bud.</div></div>
Thanks man, it's more of those bot/troll poster who were sending FIala for the farm but there were sometimes that I didn't agree with you're opinion but I'd say we were in the middle in terms of valu . It was the Hockey something or other guy that I blocked that I couldn't stand cause his deals were outrageous.

A mid 1st and a sure thing prospect is pretty in line with what was asked. OTT doesn’t have many of those prospects that they’d move.
I think when push came to shove, OTT wasn’t ready to push the chips in and wanted to see who was available before they sent the pick.</div></div>
Or budget restrictions might not have made sense to get Fiala and/or FIala wasn't interested in signing long-term with the Sens which screwed up the deal.
Jarventie is also pretty close to a sure thing prospect as well.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>capsleafs447</b></div><div>You’re probably right about Edmonds. I was thinking that teams could be a bit wary because of him, partially due to him being an overager, but mainly because Wright could be inflating his offensive stats, particularly since he didn’t play at this level in Kristianstads last year. He has a lot of boom or bust potential. That said, I totally think you’re right and that a team should take the risk with him in the late second or third round.
Arnsby is pretty low in my rankings since I think playing in North Bay will continue to slow his development. I think sixth round is about the right spot for him.
Thank you for the feedback!</div></div>
Totally fair, I just think that some GM that has a lot of picks like in Montreal or Arizona will take him potentially in the first or early second round cause they have nothing to loss.

Way way to much pick dealing and Edmonds goes in one of the top two rounds. He is almost an NHL ready prospect. Arnsby also goes earlier probably in the 3-6 rounds.

While I know that you don't watch the Sens.
Think of any 40 goal player and think of what you would offer if he also a solid two way game. Norris is 10x more valuable than what you offered and Brannstrom is more valuable than Bear and the 3rd to the Sens cause if you wanted him you would have to pry him away cause they love him and he is very important PR wise.
