I guess you give the opportunity to Lohrei and see if he can handle the role. If not, acquire a defenseman later/before the deadline. Wotherspoon has been fine, but in a 6/7 role. We're one Lindholm injury away from serious trouble.
I'd argue they could use a solid 2nd liner who can drive his line and who is a step better than Zacha/DeBrusk/Coyle, but 1C/top4 LD are more important and it already won't be easy to find these two. Also, let's see what Lysell/Poitras/Merkulov's got and maybe if we're lucky, they can take that spot.</div></div>
I’ve never been in the center is a hole camp. Our guys are having career years. And poitras took a spot as a 19 year old rookie. He has a spot

Yeah I wasn’t getting into trade scenarios with him right now. I can easily see it happening but he still has a 15 team no trade. I can also see him staying. Obviously numbers above aren’t exact but it is possible to keep him under the cap

I tend agree just want to see what the capfriedly GMs think. How badly does Carolina need a goalie and does necas camp want more money than Carolina wants to give. Carolina usually has a hard value on guys and rarely budges on that value

The Kings have an AHL goaltender set to make the NHL jump in Eric Portillo. Bussi isn't helpful.
Grezelcyk isn't a bad defenseman, but he's not the rental the Kings need. They either need a top four, puck-moving LHD like Hanifin or a big and mean 3LD that's willing to throw the body around. He is neither.</div></div>
Gryz has been a top 4 puck mover his entire time with Boston next to Mcavoy. But I hear what you’re saying. Portillo is a stud but young. Bussi could just be that cheap extra security. Would you like forbort back?

Lohrei is good enough to be given the shot but this trade opens up room for maybe something else while taking a flier on a player that LA doesn’t like. I’m not even a fan of kaliyev but if it’s something cheap like this sure try it

Saros is not an indicator, he has a long term contract. And that news changes everyday anyway.
Retain 50% on Debrusk and trade him to EDM for 1st/3rd.
Flip the 1st/3rd along with Forbort and Lauko for Novak/Carrier. Makes more sense for everyone involved.
But be warned, if you are one of those that don’t like Debrusks game then you are going to HATE Novak. Just saying.</div></div>
I am not. I’d resign Debrusk just reports coming out today of no contract talks makes you think

A cap dump they won’t extend.
So…Lauko. Lauko for Novak and Fabbro. Seems light.
Trade Debrusk to a buyer. He has no value to a seller without an extension.</div></div>
Nashville isn’t technically a seller. They pulled sarros off the market. Trots might be able to keep Debrusk players like Nashville. As far as the trade just threw it together quick. Would give up a prospect (Harrison mcglaughlin) and a late pick also probably

He is still dealing with his shoulder injury but even so you don’t send him back. He has more to gain playing a few times a week up here and being with the big club than he does going back and just ripping up juniors.

Injury would have to LTIR. Brown was called up Saturday because we couldn’t fit beecher under the cap. And sending anyone down are subject to waivers
