Only reason Boston should considering doing it is who is your center when Krejci and bergy are gone. Boom it’s seguin or you don’t have one. Centers more important than wingers. It’s a now/future move

This is the year
I like where your head is at but you aren’t getting two physical goal scores to play on your third and fourth line. Put both tuch and lee with Krejci and watch him work his magic like Horton and lucic drop Debrusk to line 3 with coyle and kuhlman and now you are in business

The first line of Marchand bergy pasta has been shut down the last two years by good D tandems ex Last year hedman this year savard and Jones game then trouble and Pietrangelo and even Colton gave them trouble. I think he works well with Krejci and gives the lineup more weapons. Instead of all eggs in one basket. Kuhlman is a dog he retrieve pucks works hard on forecheck and wall battles. Can get pucks to bergy and Marchand from dirty areas.

Trade krug and give PP to McAvoy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>interesting point. I started poking around looking at the teams that are good teams looking to contend with bad powerplays. That's where Krug is elite. Some teams that popped up, Nasvhille, Vegas, NYI, maybe Calgary, and maybe Dallas. I doubt Krug waives his motified NTC that stipulates he has to name 8 teams he won't want to go to for calgary, but nashville, vegas, dallas...all tax free markets that would have to think they have a great chance at extending krug. Krug and a kicker for Arvidsson? Krug and something legit for Tuch? Doesn't seem like a ton of options. I'm guessing they just keep him.</div></div>

Karlsson aftermath
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>well, few issues there.
1. Their window is open. Name a better center to play the second line that they can go get to replace Krejci. (I'll save you the trouble, they can't upgrade there)
2. He has a motified NTC, I think he has to submit a list of 15 teams that he'll accept a trade to. Might be fewer.
3. People used to think of the contract as bad, but he put up 70 points this year. 7.25 million for a 70 point center is actually really good. Duchene is about to get like 9 or 10 million and his career high is 70 points, and most of his seasons are in the 40s or 50s.
4. He's been vocal that after his contract is over he intends to return to europe. As an opposing GM, that would make me nervous that I would trade for the guy and he'd say screw it, I'm not going there, I'm just heading back to europe and earning a similar amount.</div></div>
Fair enough. I would say pavs is better but I get where you are coming from. You are also correct it’s a 15 team list. Appreciate the convo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>I more just meant that the notion of trading Krejci is just a bit too far out there in my opinion. My guess is that McAvoy probably bridges. He can get 4 years and remain an RFA unlike Carlo, so I think that's possible. If it's 8 years I think 8.5 minimum.</div></div>
Also think he bridges. I just don’t know half of me says sell high on Krejci half says ride it out like very split on it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>I think the trade is a bit much. As for the rest, I would love Pavelski if he would sign for that. 4 years brings Carlo right to UFA without buying out any years, and I kind of doubt McAvoy would sign that.</div></div> what do you think Mcavoy gets? Yeah the redwings trade probably could be done with just krug and prospect(s) back to the drawing board.

I like to believe he could be up for second line duty if not staal could be second line or even with all that cap space you bring in duchene? Obviously everything would have to play out exactly as I did it which won’t happen.

Am I putting to much stalk in them taking the entire contract with no money eaten. That worth a high pick plus they are giving up a young forward.
