I don't want to jump all over Robertson, but he doesn't have it. He's not going to be the impact player Leafs fans think he'll be. He's small, not that quick, not physical and has a decent shot. His value isn't that high.

Game 3 in Tampa Lines
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lambchopz</b></div><div>Personally I would reunite Nylander and Tavares, try to get those two going at 5v5. Nylander has been playing fine but Tavares won’t get anything with his current linemates. Also means you can bring back everyone’s favourite 3rd line, Pierre-Kampf-Mikheyev</div></div>
Only issue is you're playing in Tampa and they may target the Nylander JT line as it would be the weaker of the 4 lines defensively. I wish they had tried it last night instead, so they could get favourable matchups.

If Spezza continues to struggle, do you throw Knies (if he signs) on the 4th Line with Blackwell & Engvall?

Leafs summer picks and cheaper deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gretzkyghosts</b></div><div>I am that Sabre fan who said <strong>"NO ONE WILL GIVE A DRAFT PICK FOR DERMOTT."</strong>
That will rank as my worse prediction EVER.
You are both correct, Muzzin is good, it is his salary that seems a bit high.
But do you think he is needed by the Sabres.
Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson and now Johnson appear to be the LHD and <strong>Dahlin at 21 Years Old is the senior member of that squad. He will be 22 on April 13 this year.</strong>
There also seems to be a special hate among Leaf fans for Holl. What would it take to make him a Sabre?
I am thinking prospects rather than picks.
Ruotsalainen is playing well in Rochester, i wonder if he could make the line up next year.
He seems to have a knack for scoring goals.</div></div>
Honestly, none of these deals make sense. I was simply saying if you're trading Muzzin, you're getting a lot more than that for him. The Mikheyev trade is simply nonsense. Why is UFA signing witha club, only to be traded.

Way too high on Liljegren. Way too low on Gio. I don't think you wanna go into a season with Kallgren as your back-up with Jack's injury history. Campbell likely still asking for close to $5mill, even with struggles. Philippe Myers likely signs when he's bought out by Nashville and is the 7th dman. Ho-Sang isn't worth more than league minimum & doesn't belong in NHL on a contender. Rather see a 4th line checker in that role.

lol you obviously just dislike Muzz or Toronto. Stop letting that cloud your judgement. Muzz is a good top 4 defensive dman that is currently injured. If someone is willing to give up what they did for Chiarot who is statictically worse, then you're getting more than that for Muzzin.

Setting The Lines When Everyone Is Healthy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>junoandkeisha</b></div><div>To start Keefe has already said that Giordano will be reuniting with TJ. Except for the obvious 1st line, those lines make no sense.</div></div>
I disagree. Tavares, Nylander, Kerfoot has been tried and tried & doesn't work. Putting JT with Mikheyev & Engvall makes sense because those 2 mesh well together & adding JT gives them a better scoring threat. It also allows JT to not have to be the guy in the corner digging for pucks. Kampf & Kase are proven to work well together, adding Nylander gives them a playmaker on the line. Toronto also doesn't need to worry as much about Willy's defensive lapses when Kampf & Kase are on his line. This also gives you 3 deeper lines. The 4th line has been a disaster all season. Simmonds does nothing. Doesn't hit, doesn't fight, doesn't score. He doesn't need to be in the lineup. Blackwell fits well on the line. Kerfoot gives you more speed on the 4th & potentially more offense. Spezza is a good face-off man, so he stays as well.

Knies is okay. Abruzzese isn't ready. Especially to play centre in the NHL & take Spezza's spot. Too small & would get bullied around. Bracco 2.0

No way. Marner gets so much hate from certain Leafs fans. The guy is the best playmaker on the team & solid defensively. He is a terrific player and we don't appreciate him enough. Nylander is streaky and lazier on the defensive end. I'll take Marner every day over Willy

Figured you'd take a run at a guy like Varlamov in NYI instead. Also think you could pry Merzlikins from CBJ if you really wanted. To me, the name no one is talking about and he's always solid, relatively cheap & an Alberta boy, is James Reimer.
