Winnipeg Jets signed Laurent Brossoit (1 Year / $1,500,000 AAV)
I didn't expect Brossoit to get re signed. He is a good backup who had a down year. I think this is a decent deal tbh.

I agree some do but some don't it comes down to how they play

I agree with that I just think dman 30+ regress and sometimes fall off a cliff example: Marc Edouard Vlasic. However someone like Chiarot will be alright for years to come

Chiarot proved last year that he's a quality defensemen. At worst he's a #4 guy and he's super consistant. He's easily worth that contract so far.</div></div>
Edmundson had a bad year he could bounce back but I aint convinced enough to say he is a top 4 guy. Chiarot is but I think he is going to regress from this point on.

I agree. I do think Price deserved his $ but go look at my armchair GM mode and that will show you what I would think is ideal and if you knew anything about hockey you would agree.

We spend about 10 Million on our top pair considering its Chiarot-Weber. Petry is a 2nd pairing defender.</div></div>
ik but still 15 mill for 2 tendys aint ideal. and Petry is thier 2nd best dman so my bad I mean their top 2 dman. so that +chiarot really is way too much for a top pair, solid, and bottom pair dman.

it is so disproportionate tho. you can't tell me spending 14.8 mill on 2 tendys is ideal. you also cant tell me spending 14 mill on a top pair is a good idea either. however we got some good deals on forwards

Caufield isn't even signed and then he has a 3 year ELC. Romanov is likely to start on the 3rd pairing and will find it extremely difficult to move up. KK hasn't proven hes anything more than a 3rd liner and Suzuki is gonna get like 6 Million.</div></div>
He should start on the 1st pair lmao so then he doesn't flop but these guys are gonna be $ hungry when their ELCs end and Petry will be another bump in the road

are you crazy? I have Valeri Nichushkin there who was the best defensive forward in the NHL this season and Andre Burakovsky who has shooting talent/finish ability which is what the habs lack. I don't think Suzuki would carry that line I think the workload would be pretty even.
