No need to go out and get Karel, they can resign one of the goalies and save three futures
Will likely be looking for younger options through the trade market this offseason, the rental lindholm does not make a ton of sense

more options
Killorn will get quite a bit more money
Pens accept, Timmins is interesting and Jarnkrok is a solid third line type player on a fair contract

DAL is in a very tight cap situation rn so they can’t do that

SEA easily says yes, does not make a lot of sense for VAN

Competitive but Rational
I feel like garland to chi does not make a lot of sense unless they really want to start being at least competitive in yr one with Bedard, it is good value for garland as you are right with Vancouver putting themselves in a sell low situation with Garland

I think Miles Wood could be a little cheaper but like adding him and Hathaway
Despite what others are saying, it is definitely not an overpay for Cat, a lot of teams will be interested in him despite pending RFA status
NSH easily takes the Lauzon trade, don’t know why DET would do it bc Lauzon has been pretty awful so far in his nhl career

The CHI trade is strange (especially for cgy), I actually like a lot of it from the Flames perspective

Saros is absolutely stellar, vgk has always found away to get good goaltending so they probably wouldn’t do this. The value is fair on the deal

EK65 finally rose back up to where he should be. Even as a person who is well aware of the risk of ek65 NOT playing this good ever again. The value of SJS taking on 5.75 in RS for the next four years is incredibly high. That is not even considering karlsson as a player.

Seattle says yes, TOR could get more for brodie considering how great he is in his own zone

Given hart is coming off of one of his good seasons, I do not mind the idea of possibly selling high but grabbing Levi seems like a must but I do not know if buffalo wants to trade him
I could see a contender wanting Tony D, not sjs
No one should be paying two firsts for provorov, someone may though. It won’t be Winnipeg given the logjam they have at LD already
I think the Kevin Hayes deal could make sense for both sides
Buying out seeler seems unnecessary as well

Chiarot for Petersen Expanded
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>I can't tell if that's an endorsement or a criticism.</div></div>
I just think LAK has more risk here and it is not overly practical for DET to be paying two goalies who are shaky a lot of money

Chairot is truly that bad, yes petersen was really bad this year and the year before. Durzi is a pretty high upside type of guy still at this point and jared really is not. DET is already locked in on Husso's contract for better or worse and will eventually look to bring Cossa into action.

Murray clear will cost more than that, CBJ has Merz/Tarasov which they will likely ride with
Anderson does not make that much sense even at the 4.5 price tag, plus losing a legit 2nd or 3rd defenseman who is great at defense is not wise
chi will decline as well, tor should just keep timmins

Defense
Easy yes for MTL, why toronto would want anderson at his contract for the next for yrs and give up their most responsible dmen in his own zone, idrk
PHI says no on the TK trade, high level prospect, decent roster player and FRP is required in that type of deal
Jarnkrok is a player TML should focus on keeping, provides plenty of value at his contract value
CAR says no as well

The b's will likely dump/trade Reilly and possibly not have forbort or grezy due to cap issues. Getting the 2nd rd pick (Boston is really lacking on picks rn) plus a LD who is NHL ready and affordable for the next year or two is pretty wise.

I really think the key to a good summer is trading Pageau
Pageau is definitely a little overpaid for a 3C type guy, he can bring value to a team. That being said, the deal doesn’t make sense for Nashville at all.

Perfect Offseason
RHP could get more on a 4 year deal
Easy no for CAR, I seriously don’t get why ppl think that guy is good. Sometimes players have good base stats and have terrible on ice metrics, he doesn’t even do well in the base stats like points
DAL has a lot on defense, they do not need him
Isles say yes

Montreal will happily take that, Beauvillier is a fringe elite transition player who could have possibly been held back by passive coaches like trotz and lambert. I am not guaranteeing it becomes anything more but he has legit full time 2nd line ability if used right by a coach
