Realistic wild off-season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>Based on what Soucy is their intended target?
Also if we are to assume that they're protecting 4-4-1, and Parise and Zuccarello are not waiving, they have room for only two forwards, which will most likely be Fiala and Eriksson Ek, wouldn't that suggest that both Greenway and Foligno are very much available?
Naturally MIN paying something to control that decision is possible, but it's likely going to cost them at least a first round pick, given how desirable options there are in Minnesota...</div></div>
I see the wild doing 7-3-1 where they protect Parise, Zucc, Fiala, Ek, Foligno, Greenway, Hartman, Spurgeon, Brodin, Suter, and Talbot. Seattle will likely pick Soucy or Dumba, but either way Dumba is gone in the offseason with Addison moving up.

Players can unofficially retire and go on LTIR so their team isn't penalized.

Dumba could maybe get Chytil and a 3rd or if the wild added some they could get Kravtsov, but Kakko is far more valuable than Dumba.

Eichel to VGK is this a good or a horrible trade
Terrible. Vegas is giving up a top 3 winger, a late first, and an early second for a top 10 center. Swap out Stone with Pacioretty and a B level prospect or a 2022 1st and this trade would work. Otherwise Stephenson/Karlson, Glass, 2021 and 2022 firsts, 2021 second (nj) and 2022 second (VG) or 2022 second (VG) and a B level prospect could work but may not be enough.

That's why I said he has the potential, he has a low floor but a very high ceiling. If he pans out he could easily be as good as Eichel.

Eichel to LA
Buffalo would want one of Byfield or Turcotte and I don't see the Kings giving up Byfield, so Turcotte would have to be the centerpiece of this trade.

Who Says No
LA says no, Byfield has the potential to be as good, if not better, than Eichel and Turcotte can become a solid second line center. Kings are also going to be missing the playoffs this year and are most likely finishing bottom five so they're not giving up their lottery pick.

Devils Sabres Eichel Trade
This isn't even remotely close to a fair trade, Buffalo would probably ask for Hughes, a first, a second, and a B level prospect but I'm not sure if NJ would be willing to give that up as Hughes has immense potential and the Devils would want to keep their first rounder.

Maybe habs can retain some of price salary
This trade wouldn't appeal to either team, Petry would be a great addition to Edmonton's blue line and a massive upgrade from Nurse, but I don't see this trade going through because of Prices contract (Petry's contract could also be a turn off for Oilers due to his age and the term on his deal). Price is highly skilled but he is essentially a $7 mil backup goalie (With the retained salary) and Edmonton would probably want a good middle six forward in place of him to temporary replace nuge. I also don't see why the Canadians would need another top six forward (on an expiring deal) and would want to swap Petry (who is in the Norris conversation through the first 1/4 of the season) for a 2nd pairing defensman.

Win - Win for TOR and NASH
Nylander is better than both Forsberg and Grandlund while being younger, and Liljegren and a first on top of him just makes this deal look even worse. IF Toronto would be willing to trade Nylander for Forsberg and Grandlund only expect Toronto to throw on a B level prospect and one or two mid round draft picks to complete the deal.

Risto is nothing more than a bottom pairing defensman. Even if Pitsburg is trying to get younger, trading arguably your best defensman for Risto is not the way to do it.

The Wild don't need another defensman and although Letang is better than Dumba, he is also 33 and the wild wan't to get younger. Wild are bubble contenders at the moment and if they want to contend they need to trade for a center or wait for Rossi to develop into a 1C.

Dumba Out Cirelli In
Dumba isn't worth Brannstrom, let alone him and 2 2nd's, and Tampa would ask more for Cirelli. As a Wild fan I love these trades, but realistically Ottawa and Tampa would be laughing at these offers.

Minnesota Wild Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>I would bet money there is no team that would spend 8 freaking million on a 2nd line center in a flat cap. You are crazy if you honestly think that. Point and MacKinnon aren't on the same team they are completely unrelated, also when MacKinnon signed his deal he was a 50 point player. JBB signed Point he will be negotiating with Cirelli too, he can 100% use Point's contract as leverage. Tampa can't offer Sergachev a long term contract so he will get roughly a 4.5M deal.
It's actually really simple Move out Killorn and Paquette and you have 10M cap, sign some league min contracts and there you go.</div></div>
If a team is desperate enough then yes they would hand out 8M. Personally 7 is the highest I would go for Cirreli long term. If Cirelli gets 4.5-5M and Sergachev get 4.5M then that only leaves them with a mil or less for a top 4 defensemen, 2 3rd pairing defensemen and a couple depth players. Yes they could fit them both in under the cap if they made some moves but they would still have a massive hole on defense, the Dumba trade makes sense because they are filling their needs on defense and their offense is covered because they have Coleman who can move up and play 2nd line center.
