Montreal Canadiens signed Ben Chiarot (3 Years / $3,500,000 AAV)

*Cue Jack Johnson is old and 5 years term*
Johnsons deal is 1 year longer than Chairot right now, not a huge difference.</div></div>
Thats the whole reason...Chiarot is only 28...and signed only a 3 year term....31 at the end instead of 35...big difference

I imagine they weren't willing to give the Term that Gardiner wanted. Bergevin learned his lesson dishing out that kind of money and term on Alzner.

it's not about capspace, it's about real money. Carolina barely made 23M from tickets sales, wich is 3M less than the year befor... Dundon is also in a 70M lawsuit right now.. the habs took adventage of a weakened owner

Considering Shaw had several concussions with Montreal, this is a great trade for the Habs. They almost get back what they paid for him in the first place.

IT'S THE MONTREAL CANADIENS. THANKS FOR WEBER :)

not only is this terrible on paper, it also stalls the development of Nolan Patrick and Morgan Frost (unless they move to wing). and they just drafted O’Brian, fwiw. no room for those guys to grow. what a bad move

(WPG/NYR) - Trouba for Pionk & 1st round pick (#20 - WPG)
NY Rangers have a ton of cap space so they can give Trouba whatever he wants
Jets still in cap space trouble. Pionk will get around 3 million so the Jets still need to clear out some players to free up some cap room.

Price is alright for Hagelin, but the term? I would've done 3 MAX, probably 2. Dude's going to be 34 at the end of this and his play this season wasn't really inspiring.

(NSH/TBL) - 7th round pick for Ingram

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quote:</div>Controversy came about, however, when Ingram was assigned to the Solar Bears. He was a healthy scratch for three Crunch games with Eddie Pasquale and Martin Ouellette playing instead just prior to his demotion to the ECHL. This all came after Ingram was having a fine year and was named to the 2019 AHL All-Star Team. When Ouellette went down with a broken leg, Ingram was recalled to the Crunch and reportedly had a talk with General Manager Julien BriseBois. After that, he was sent back to Orlando without playing for the Crunch.
Many rumors have gone around about Ingram’s issues. The team and Ingram have never disclosed what the issues were other than stating they were keeping the matter internal. That’s standard operating procedure for this franchise. However, many of the rumors have centered around attitude and work ethic issues. We don’t know what really happened, but there was certainly a rift between Ingram and the organization and it appears that rift could not be healed.</div>

Ingram put up good numbers in the AHL last season, For a young former 3rd round pick, this looks like a steal for Nashville. Why would Tampa make this trade?

Tampa now has two goalies signed for next year. A guy who puts up Elite numbers at 22 isn't traded for a contract space.

Habs Summer 19
Interesting lineup. Poehling would have to prove without a doubt he deserves a spot and KK would have to really show growth this summer to make the top 6 but all very possible. I also like your trade, if Philly really has decided to move on from Ghost I could definitely see them entertaining this deal.
Thumbs up.
