Improvements
Dumba signing is prob a bit high but overall fine no way Stecher gets benched, he's a very solid depth player. Meaning Soderstrom likely starts the year in the AHL and they sign another LD like you did here with Dermott. Lines could probably use some work too

I actually like this trade. I'm interested to see if this year was an anomaly or Sprong coming into his own.

Well NSH is definitely getting a facelift this summer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jeuck75</b></div><div>I wonder if this signals a rebuild🤔🤔</div></div>
Feels that way -- maybe more of a retool with youth. But having Glass, Tolvanen, and Tomasino at forward + Fabbro, Carrier, Myers, and Farrance at defense + Saros, Ingram, and Askarov at goalie is pretty solid for them.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakHouse8</b></div><div>Without a side deal I would see NSH losing one of: Carrier, Fabbro (unlikely) Jarnkrok, Sissons, or Glass</div></div>
I don't think Glass needs protection actually (could be wrong), so they'd go 5 D + Forsberg, Jarnkrok, Kunin --- so Jeannot, Trenin, Ingram, Johansen, Sissons as the most likely options
Do you know if he needs protection?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RebelCoach</b></div><div>Man, Landy reeally wouldn't want to win and is all about the money if he goes to this roster...yeeeeesh</div></div>
Well he's not gonna get that $$ from a legit contender

Or just sign Suter for like $2m
edit: it also looks like Edler will be testing FA, so he could be an option as well -- not sure what his price tag will look like though.

If we are loosing Gio i would rather move the full cap than get a late 1st. Good offer though, probably fair considering its to a division rival

I like the idea, but if CGY is gonna lose him they probably want his entire cap hit off the books. Otherwise this is the idea, but it would cost much less.

They'll likely lead the way on getting Suter if they can't get Marty to sign. But I think Marty will sign $4.5Mx2 as a reup.

You could get Gio for a 2nd. CGY is losing him for free so they have no leverage otherwise and teams don't have that kind of cap space to bid high for him.

Landeskog
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingsLover</b></div><div>1. Seattle probably doesn't touch Parise's contract without another 1st or salary retention.
2. Its not a horrible deal for Couturier but I doubt Philly trades him, he seems like the successor of the "C" for the Flyers. He's honestly to me been their mvp for a while now.
3. With Kaprizov, Boldy, Greenway, Beckman (in a year or 2), Fiala, Foligno, Hartman & Sturm the Wild have a lot of players who play LW or can play the left side, and every forward is a lefty which is weird. I feel like if anything the Wild should get a veteran top 6 scorer say like Phil Kessel who would be inexpensive (especially if the Yotes retain some salary) & is on a 1 year deal. Landeskog is an excess good he helps for a season or 2 but then potential cap crunch comes. I don't see them signing anyone to a big contract unless a big money 1st line centre is available.</div></div>
1. Parise's total buyout salary is 6M and Seattle will have the cap space to manage the buyout cap hit. So it's basically, do they want to spend 6M to get a 1st and a 3rd. It might take more than that from the Wild, to be fair, but it's a thought.
2. I wanted to make it hard to say no. But yeah, you're probably right there.
3. Minnesota has had problems finding right hand forwards and with RNH signing a new contract, I don't know where they'll be coming from. I mainly just wanted to get Fiala some help with the biggest splash I could.
Kessel won't be coming here. He had a chance last year and he blocked the trade. So I think that ship has sailed unfortunately.

What is Hampus Lindholms value
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingsLover</b></div><div>I feel like the Hawks should probably add more in that trade.</div></div>
Maybe. But you (and my two esteemed colleagues above) should remember that Hampus is on an expiring contract and has been injured for about half the games over the last two seasons. I think that those risk factors reduce his trade value, much as I value his skill.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>QuackAttack</b></div><div>One of the most underrated defenseman in the league. I would expect him to resign wherever he goes ( if he’s moved).
I’d at least ask for a Top Prospect, top 6 forward, and a 1st. Whatever Jones gets, it should be that caliber</div></div>
I don't think any team gives that. It's too much for a guy who will be a UFA in a year. The team that trades for him is taking the risk of him walking after 1 year. You're also taking a risk that he gets injured next season and then walks for nothing.
I think what the Kings got for 2 years of cost controlled Muzzin would be a fair deal at 50% retained.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingsLover</b></div><div>Well he and Jones have very different play styles, but I think when they're both playing at their best that Jones is the better overall player.</div></div>
I agree.

I've had extensive discussions with some knowledgeable Chicago adherents and I'm pretty satisfied that Ian Mitchell plus their 2021 first would be fair for Hampus and our 2021 third.

Are you willing to retain on him. I think half retained he's worth quite a bit more than without retention.
