Wow, I didn't expect him to sign with a rebuilding team after all these years in Ottawa...

I'm shocked he agreed to sign this. After the terrible Anderson deal, this is a steal.

So the Sens didn't want to pay Duclair, but they are ok with paying Gudbranson. Makes sense...

That's why I made the 21-22 team too.

Eriksson to Ottawa

It wouldn't be easy, that's right. But Pearson (3,75), Sutter (4,38), Edler (6) and Benn (2) are UFAs. That's about 16M in cap space. To make it all work, the Canucks would have to convince Kraken to choose Myers (probaby add a sweetener), or both Rousell and Beagle.
EDIT: I made another AGM team for the following season.

It looks nice, but you can definitely get more out of Francouz. He could be a starter in some teams, so 4th round pick is a bad return. I like the Cole trade from both sides, but Idk if Arizona would be interested in Calvert, who will be a free agent next summer...

A 3rd round pick and an injury-prone middle 6 winger for a former 70 pts player? Well done, Jarmo!

Buffalo Sabres signed Tage Thompson (3 Years / $1,400,000 AAV)
Very risky signing. He is injury prone and hasn't shown anything at the NHL level. I was expecting something like 1 year, 900k (prove it type of deal).

(FLA/OTT) - Brown for 2020 4th RD pick
Now trade for some veteran presence in Dustin Brown, and sign a veteran defenseman Justin Braun in UFA (he's pronounced the same) and JT Brown as a depth player.
Connor Brown - Logan Brown - Dustin Brown
Josh Brown - Justin Braun
Extra: JT Brown
So bad there isn't any goalie named Brown :tearsofjoy

Montreal Canadiens signed Michael McNiven (1 Year / $700,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kotkaniemi15</b></div><div>This is a very smart move. Next year McNiven can serve as the 5th goalie, going from ECHL to AHL when injuries happen. But what’s important is that he’s an RFA next year, meaning that Montreal has a goalie that fits the exposure requirements for Seattle, without having to make a trade or sign someone they don’t want to. (Since Primeau and Demchenko are exempt)
And this also means that Lindgren is definitely gone, since the habs aren’t keeping 6 goalies in the org. Worst case scenario, if we can’t trade him, I’d expect him to be loaned to another AHL team.</div></div>
The highest possibility in my opinion is that they will lose him on waivers.

New Jersey Devils signed Steven Santini (3 Years / $1,416,667 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rebecca</b></div><div>I vote no.
Not to be contrarian but while this is a low Cap Hit for almost any player in their prime, Santini has barely begun to prove himself at the NHL level. He hasn’t made much of an impact even at the AHL level and, as NJ gains more defensive depth it’s likely that Santini is relegated to the Press Box or the AHL.
At 1.4M they can’t bury his entire Cap Hit in the AHL (most of it, but not all) for the next 3 years and so are left to carry $350k if he is unable to hack it in the NHL.
They could have likely gotten a 2y deal around $1M per and thus had the option of fully burying his salary. Now they can’t do that for the next 3 years and I don’t think the 1 extra year is worth it.</div></div>
You predicted it correctly. He's now a buyout candidate.

Little high AAV for that term, but that's the price you have to pay to keep big UFAs. Decent move by Bergevin.

Right. Few years back it looked like a steal, now is Wennberg a buyout candidate. With Dubois as 1C, Texier, Foudy and Bemstrom as prospects at C, Jenner, Nash and Grigorenko, he fell down in Columbus depth chart.
