Where has this option gone? When you click edit on a player you get the options to move to minors, move to majors, trade or buyout. If you signed a player, there used to be an option to delete a signed player under that menu. It doesn't show up for me anymore. Anyone else have this issue?

LA Needs to Rebuild
Kind of on the fly but they probably will not be a playoff team until the 20/21 season unless they get great goaltending and the young talent up front gels well with the holdover vets (carter, kovy, kopitar, brown. lewis). They can compete but you can't replace Quick with what they have here.

Rags Moves this season - Reason 257 for Why I am NOT a GM
I didn't think that would fly either but it is something I'd be hopeful for as a Rangers fan. I still think we can/will get a similar package from someone if we deal Hayes.

According to my calculations, Strome will have played seven seasons upon completion of his contract. So even though he'll be a few days shy of age 27 on July 1st, he will have played seven seasons making him a UFA. Unless I didn't carry the one when doing the math?</div></div>
I went off of what CapFriendly listed him as when his contract expires. They say he is still a RFA in two years.

Idk weird move for new York</div></div>
Strome will be a RFA at the end of his deal; Spooner will be an UFA. Similar skill sets and salary. I think the Rags preferred a right shot guy that plays C and wing that they have control over and may put up decent numbers once again over the mid round pick they would have got for Spooner in February. I liked Spooner's game last year after we got him. IDK what has gone wrong this year (other than the constant line-juggling). He wasn't clicking with any combination. Should have kept him with Hayes and Zucc and see if they could gel until they all got traded away.

Bring back the drag and drop
Thanks for the tips. Using at home with Chrome like I have for years. Drag and drop seems to work until I click on a player and perform a function from the drop down menu (move player to majors, position, etc). Then it stops allowing the drag and drop. I'll clear my cache and reboot to see if that changes anything.

When I used it yesterday it wouldn't let me drag and drop. I had to keep clicking on the logo inside the players name to get a list of actions to pop up. I'll try it again today and hope that it was just a glitch or operator error on my part.

Who needs to move money? (Comment please)
The NYR would be happy to move B. Smith or M. Staal your way. We would be willing to take back Juulsen in return. (That was sarcastic in case anyone wants to jump on me for suggesting that as a fair offer for either cap dump).

Adding some De to the Defense
I was hoping the Rangers would have flipped Namestnikov at the draft for one of those four 2nd rd picks. The cost for Hayes will be much higher than Namestnikov but I think he would be a good fit in Montreal as the 3rd line C. He can play the wing also and can work on the PK. I like his versatility but think the Rangers need to move at least one of Vlad, Hayes, Spooner, or maybe even Zibanejad to get their two rookie C's into the top 9 this year.

BUFF 18/19
@wags - Thanks for the feedback. My thinking with the Hossa deal was that the Hawks do not get the cap relief until the first day of the season when he gets placed on LTIR. Buffalo can afford to carry the cap hit through the summer and it allows the Hawks to make some moves. Sending a pick back with Girgensons is what I should have added.
Appreciate all of your other comments. I agree on Hags not being given away. Cornel could be added to that deal or the NYI deal.

Also, Johnson to San Jose doesn't make much sense.</div></div>
They are only retaining $2.4M until the end of the year. All players involved are not under contract next year. Johnson to SJS - see my reply above.

I should have noted that move as a move that happens assuming SJS trades Dell for help up front at the deadline instead of losing him in the off-season for nothing.

Hoping we don't sign Shatty. C Miller isn't a top pair D-man but he is a solid top 4 R shot option and is young and under team control for a couple of more years and look at his possession stats. Off the charts!
Hanzal and Ryan are vet C who win lots of faceoffs (an area we need help in big time), they can both work on the PK and both can move around the lineup if needed. Carter was just a depth signing, it could be any vet who can play C and kill penalties. Nilsson is probably the best available back up G and the consensus pick to replace Raanta. 923 save % last year on a bad team. Can't wait til the season starts.

17/18 Isles
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rangersandislesfan</b></div><div>Not trying to be mean but i disagree.
1st trade: I think Hamonic is a VERY good player, so not enough if you ask me.
2nd trade: wait, so a top 4 defenseman for a 5th? Okay, i disagree but that's fine.
3rd trade: so a top prospect, a young player who i think has potential, and a 1st rounder, and then a goalie who might not be in the NHL much longer ... all for a backup goalie and a middle-pairing defenseman.
But that's all just my own opinion.</div></div>
I respect your opinion Rags & Isles fan and enjoy your posts on here.
Trade 1 - I like Hamonic and the only reason I trade him here is because I think it was equal value for JVR. The Isles are going to lose a D in expansion. By trading Hamonic or DeHaan prior to the draft they at least get some value back. I agree with the others who posted a reply. Isles need a RW not a LW. I was hoping to slide Lee to #2 C and was thinking Ho-Sang could fill a top 6 RW slot. JVR and JT would put up some points though.
Trade 2 - Hickey is a bottom pair guy. I made that move for cap room, possibly open a spot to be won by Mayfield, Pulock, or another young D, and to recoup the pick I sent to TOR in JVR deal.
Trade 3 - this is where I really reached but it's all in fun. Halak to WPG for one year gives them steady #1 while easing the pressure on Hellebuyck. Trouba isn't going to come cheap but again, I personally don't think the Isles need him. it was just a deal made to generate some feedback and get rid of Halaks salary
Appreciate all of the feedback from all who replied.

I agree with both comments above but am hoping the Isles slide Lee in at #2 C. They will lose DeHaan in expansion unless someone goes in a trade prior to Vegas picking their team.
I created an NYI team based off of this.

I like the trade for Boyle. We need a better 4th line C plus he has good size and lots of playoff experience.
I would not trade Holden. He can play both sides, usually gets the 2nd most minutes, is good defensively and surprisingly good offensively.
Shatty will cost nothing July 1st and even then we'd have to move a big salary to get him. I doubt we move that much for him now. Maybe a lesser deal for a Franson or other UFA D who can add depth.
I hope we stay in the first wildcard spot for the playoffs.

Pre-Trade Deadline Vegas Roster
Go young and build with mostly RFAs under team control. This list should change some next week.
Potential line-up from this roster as it is would be: (Trade Stempniak for picks)
Hagelin - Killorn - Hartman
Raffl - Karlsson - Boedker
Lowry - Jarnkrok - Lindberg
Ferland - Martinook - Nieto
Jaskin - Carrier
Scandella - Manson
DeHaan - Lovejoy
Forbort - Pysyk
Nesterov - Marchenko
I see Grubauer as a very near future #1 but they make a deal to take Howard and get an additional prospect for doing so.
