Can I get one roster that is ok lol
So Alex Nylander's Qualifying Offer is $787,500 and after his breakthrough year with 1 goal and 1 assist you're going to offer him $2.5 million?
Ryan Graves hasn't turned 28 yet, is an excellent defender and his current salary is $4 million. I'd be shocked he wasn't offered $5 million for 5 seasons. I'd offer him that as the Los Angeles GM, especially if the Kings couldn't re-sign Vladi Gavrikov for an acceptable figure.
The value on Bryan Rust is fine but Anaheim isn't the team that will be investing 5 seasons in someone who's over 30. Similarly, Arizona isn't a team that would be paying a future second -- even though they have four of them -- for two seasons of Mikael Granlund.
I'm with <a href="/users/Lancebmx" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Lancebmx</a> in thinking that the Dallas and Montreal trades are realistic and possible. And he's right again (in my opinion) that Minnesota would hang onto Ryan Hartman for the three reasons he gives.

If Coronato signs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lancebmx</b></div><div>Maybe Ruzicka and Coleman swap then
So basically what you have but swap Toffoli and Coronato</div></div>
Problem with swapping Coleman & Ruzicka is Kadri's a very difficult Centre to play with, he's a lone wolf who goes everywhere and it constantly going off-side or putting others off-side. Wingers have a very difficult time knowing where he's going to go and where he wants them to be or where they should go. Kadri also has a bad tendency to just throw the puck back that sometimes gets missed by the defender when everyone is deep in the zone, creating odd-man rushes and/or breakaways. He's a Defensive Liability at Centre AFAIC, hence why I want him moved to the RW to be more of a Matthew Tkachuk style player = Physical, Gritty, Drawing Penalties, Passing & Shooting from the Side/Corner and Going to the Net & Dirty Areas to Retrieve Pucks, Clean Up Rebounds or Deflect/Tip Shots on Net
If played at Centre, I think Kadri needs players like Coleman as his Wingers, because he's fast to react, goes to the net, retrieves pucks and is defensively smart and strong enough to recognise & help cover the problems Kadri creates
Dube is another Winger who has had success with Kadri, but he's not as Experienced or Good at Sheltering a line Defensively as Backlund, Coleman or Old Man Trevor Lewis. Pelletier isn't experienced enough and Ruzicka isn't Strong or Defensive enough. I don't mind the idea of trying Coronato with Kadri, because he's supposed to be a Physical Stud and with his Right Shot, he & Kadri could split time taking Faceoffs and/or at C/RW
The best I've seen Kadri at C is with Mangiapane-Kadri-Coleman, so I wonder if Dube-Kadri-Coleman or Coleman-Kadri-Dube would work okay too, otherwise like I said above, move Kadri to RW and problem solved: Coleman - Dube/Coronato - Kadri
AND if you have Backlund or Lindholm Centre Kadri, you could probably have any of Huberdeau, Mangiapane, Toffoli, Dube, Coleman, Ruzicka, Pelletier or Ritchie at LW, because Backs & Lindy are simply Amazing Defensive Centres
The only real and best way I see Ruzicka playing moving forward would be if he's playing on Lindholm or Backlunds Wing OR he plays Centre and is sheltered by 2 Veteran Wingers, like Dube, Coleman or Lewis, in which he coould play 3C OR if just one of those Veterans + either Pelletier, Duehr, Coronato or Ritchie being the other Winger, he could be the 4th "Energy" Line Centre, but he's more of a Top-9 Offensive Player than a Checking Line Player. I also only see Ruzicka playing in the Top-9 again if we move Coleman and/or Dube down to the 4th line to give that line more Speed, Skill & Balance with a player like Coronato, Duehr or Ritchie

I would sign Holl, schenn , Stetcher, on 1 year deals. It’s a lot better than signing Mayfield to a multi year deal when he is an awful skater and isn’t going to age well.
With Pulock and Dobson on the right side it doesn’t make sense to overpay a RD

Agree with you on all facets; my point was that this offer is too short for Roy. Walker should be Sebrango and a third or a future second. Prospects (i.e., using that Islander pick) fit your development schedule better than Schmaltz (or anyone else you're likely to get for it).

Kevin Allen has said many times they haven't talked since November. He made a good point which explains why things turned out the way they did.
Bert and his agent are all about player comparables and stats. Yzerman is all about what do you do for my team? When Yzerman told Larkin his long term plan is to take a bit less so I can surround you with better players a deal came together a week later. Larkin bought in.
Remember it was Yzerman who took less money for the last half of his career so he could be surrounded with more good players. He did the same thing in Tampa but he also had the Tampa no state tax advantage.

Mukhamadullin is probably ~2 years ahead of Casey schedule. His KHL deal is out in couple of months. He probably plays in AHL for a year (for a few games at end of 2022-23, then all of 2023-24). Maybe ETA late 2023-24 or early 2024-25.
Casey probably plays 2-3 seasons at Michigan, maybe one in AHL ...so ETA 2025-26

They've been pretty good, 55.4% xG, 1.8 GA/60, they've statistically been the best pairing with more than 20 mins of TOI, outside of the two Fox pairings (Miller-Fox and Lindgren-Fox). I think the only reason I'd separate them is to make a Miller-Jones/Schneider pair, if/when Trouba needs to sit out to get healthy. Aka Lindgren-Fox, Miller with Jones or Schneiders, and Hajek with the other.

Habs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>That's not entirely true, at 2.75 mil Drouin has value and may return between a 2nd and 4th from a contending team, if not we keep him and let his contract expire and spend that 5.5 mil elsewhere in the offseason. That makes more sense than trading him with retention for an LTIR contract we don't need. Dadonov again has value if retained, probably in the 4th to 6th round range which again is better than taking on term for an equally bad player without getting anything in return, otherwise a gain we just let his contract expire. You don't think a team like Minny, Nashville or Colorado will take a chance on Monahan with retention for a late 1st?! I think someone will make that trade. I agree Hoffman will be bought out, I prefer the Armia over Kapanen at least Armia has a role on the team. There are better options for filling the 3 or 4 C hole than trading for Engvall, we have Mysak and Pitlick who can take that on.</div></div>
Drouin would never returned a 2nd pick, would you trade a 2nd pick for Drouin? Nobody would! Dadonov maybe a late round like a 5th half retained. I would keep armia before kapanen, but the extra year on armia's contract stink! I dont think Mysak is ready for the NHL yet and every agm i saw that there was a trade monahan vs a late 1st, everyone was blasting and it was clear that nobody would do that. A second seems fair, well already had a 1st for him

Ottawa can't do this because of that Armia extra year. They'll need the cap space for way more important players
They will most likely just buyout Zaitsev this offseason for 1.67 M$ (spread over 2 years)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>At 2.75 mil for a top 6 forward you are damn straight I would trade a 2nd for that, especially if I was in the playoff hunt at the trade deadline. So we agree on Dadonov's value, why add the extra year of Kapanen for free when he isn't an upgrade? Armia is a good player to have and the term is only 1 year longer, also that only saves 1 mil in salary over the term of their contracts. I say Keep Armia if there are no bites for just picks at the TDL. The only reason there is flack on getting a 1st for Monahan is cause 1. Other fans of rebuilding teams are jealous they did not get him and a 1st or 2. Half the responders are known Habs trolls or 3. They are fans of the other team giving up the 1st and like most fans value the idea of what a pick <strong>could</strong> be and doesn't think about how Monahan would make their team better for their cup run. We saw the same thing last TDL where there were multiple fans saying Montreal would never get more than a 3rd for Lehkonen, would be lucky to unload Chairot without including a 1st of their own or that Taffoli wouldn't get more than 2 2nds. Each of those players all returned a 1st without retention, Monahan is better than them and only Lehkonen is close to his skill level. Imagine if Toffoli got a 1st + 2nd + 5th (valuewise) without retention what could he have returned with retention? Monahan is better, younger and cheaper than Toffoli, the only reason we got a 1st is cause the Flames <strong>had</strong> to move Monahan to sign Tkachuk, if not we would have had to pay a 1st + to get him. The Habs are in a totally different situation though, they don't have to move Monahan and can retain on him to get better value.</div></div>
Bro Drouin is not a top 6 forward, Im a die hard habs fan bro he brings nothing on the ice! For Monahan the time will tell, maybe we could fetch a late 1st for him, if he is consitent and can stay healthy. If im a contending team, i wouldnt spend a 6th rounder for drouin even half retained, the way he is playing right now is not helping to increase his value! No team would waste 2,75 mil for drouin on their roster.

Sundqvist Lindstrom
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy12Bob</b></div><div>For Detroit it's high. We have no replacement for him and no prospect in the pipeline that can be relied on to take his place. As a cost controlled defensive defender that we're in short supply of the offer would have to be really high for us to trade him.
Sunny is younger and cheaper and is better suited for the 4th line job that is the one available. I doubt Compher would do that job as well as Sunny does.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lancebmx</b></div><div>Lindstrom in my opinion should take a first to get. Really good defensive guy who moves the puck quite well. Perfectly suited for a third pairing roll that can step up to second pairing if need be. He was a -12 when the team was a -83, I think that says something. He was drafted in the second round and developed into a NHL player so we would need to at least recoup that cost. Being he is only 23 and still getting better it would take a big overpay to acquire him. Compher isn't really a fit anymore and we like what Sunny brings.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyIsMyPassion61</b></div><div>Lindstrom is still an RFA, Don't see Yzerman dealing him anytime soon.
Yzerman has said at several of his pressers, That it's every bit his attention to resign Oskar Sundqvist before free agency.</div></div>
Thanks guys, I appreciate the responses. I agree with what you've said. Detroit should hold on to Lindström barring an offer too good to refuse.
