Hawks bet on offense

There's enough space there remaining to activate both. It's a 24 man roster, so to add Shaw + Seabs, you can take out three guys and have a full roster and be cap compliant.
Gilbert/Seeler/Lankinen combined + cap space > Seabs/Shaw combined.

Top Line LW Trade
What's the value of Baun, McNeill and Kero? Basically the type of contributors you'd expect to land on waivers.
Bickell has negative value.
Hawks 1st is worth something, but unless they start sucking, it won't be much.
Now let's see, James Van Riemsdyk, a top line player, a 60pt scorer... you'd expect the Leafs wanted at least something in return?

Need of top line LW
That's a lopsided trade. I actually sort of like Tanner Kero, but those guys the Hawks are giving up don't have any trade value. And Bickell is basically a $4M cap penalty.
Low first rounders also don't net elite players very often. More like borderline NHL/AHLers. If that was a lottery pick, and maybe if there was a player of value like Teuvo or Dano, and if Bickell wasn't one of the players moved, then maybe Lou would listen. Otherwise, I'm sure he gets better offers 8 times a week.
It's also a 22-man roster that's right up against the cap. I wouldn't want to give just 1 star, so I'll find something good here... yes, the way you randomized the d-pairings is good for a laugh. A top pairing of Daley - Rundblad would actually make sure that 1st rounder the Hawks are giving up will end up being a top 5 pick.
2 stars.

Daley's contract makes him not worth much.
And his skills.
You'd need to take on an equally bad contract to move him.
Tip: you can call up players. Everyone you need is there under "RECALL PLAYERS". You don't need to bother with create-a-player.
2 stars. I agree with Gusto and Svedberg the Swedish Giraffe needing to play ahead of Rundblad.

Skinner
The Canes are actually taking on salary in this trade. They give up the best player, and add salary. What's their motivation? Help the Hawks?
Without Bickell, this would be doable on the Canes' part. And with maybe a better prospect than McNeill.
How about Skinner for Teuvo + Bickell?

Van riemsdyk bros
That's not nearly enough for a player like JVR.
I understand the thinking behind moving Bickell as a cap dump. Obviously the Leafs don't need him, but theoretically they could take him. But then the price would be even higher than just JVR alone.
And Shaw is not much. A bottom 6 depth player, with not much skill. Danault has shown nothing so far, though he has potential of becoming a bottom 6 player. A very late first rounder is a future marginal NHLer.
That's not nearly enough. You'd need to add some real value. A reason for the Leafs to consider this. Teuvo, maybe? Schmaltz? Dano? Even then, I think a proven top line winger is worth more than a potential one.

FLA trade
If the Panthers really hated Jagr that much, they could get rid of him without taking on Bickell's contract.
If they had any interest in Bickell (they don't), a deal would have been in place months ago. Stop trying to pawn off Bickell. You'd need a hell of a lot better sweeteners than Kyle Baun (not an NHLer), and a 50-60th overall draft pick (also not an NHLer).

Cap hell doesn't really happen until 2018 for the Hawks.
You only need minor moves to continue icing a competitive team for 2016-17.

A late 2nd rounder isn't reason enough to take on Bickell. Needs at least a mid 1st or Dano.

Oh god my eyes! A top 5 d-man in the league only entering his prime gets swapped for a bottom six grinder (Shaw), an albatross of a cap dump (Bickell), two AHLers (Runnie + Danault), a super late 1st rounder and two basically insignificant picks.

Yeah, maybe call up Pokka. Those 3 picks aren't really worth any assets, but I still doubt teams would pay for Morin, when you can probably just pick him off waivers soon enough. Morin would be a top line addition for the Ice Hogs if he clears.

Who says you have to spend to the cap? Nothing wrong with a little wiggle room. And I doubt those are the actual lines anyway.
I see nothing inherently wrong with this. A little tweeking and it's fine.
Not to mention, I like a roster where the bonuses can all fit under the cap. That means no more bonus overage penalties!

IR doesn't give you any cap relief. It'd have to be a serious enough injury to legitimately warrant LTIR. Most injuries/sicknesses are not.
