Realistic Deadline Targets
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LeafsFan123</b></div><div>Pretty decent trades. All realistic with fair value, but I think Talbot would have to sign an extension with CBJ if they did that otherwise Korpisalo is their guy.</div></div>
Yea I think if CBJ trades Bobrovsky, they'd still try and go for the playoffs. Talbot's having a bad year but he's more proven than Korpisalo and would probably play more down the stretch this year. I think if he plays well, he could get a 2 year deal in CBJ around 3M until they are certain that Korpisalo can be their guy in the long run.

Trading Bob and Breadman is what they should do
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LeafsFan123</b></div><div>I like the Panarin deal, but I feel you guys could get a lot more for Bobrovsky rental or not were talking about arguably the best goalie in the last 2-3 seasons. If COL is actually interested in Bob then try to get under performing players on the block like Tyler Jost or Tyson Barrie. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.</div></div>
I figured Columbus would want a more veteran goalie with Korpisalo to relieve some pressure if he needs it. If not, I don't know who could take the back up. As for the price to get Bob, he is a rental and goalies have historically lower trade value than players for some reason. Maybe they could get Jost, but then forget about a 1st or 2nd rounder imo, maybe a 2nd if he resigns. No chance they trade Barrie though. He's vital for them. I would think Panarin would pull in a bigger return than Bob so I'm not sure how much bigger the return could be for him.

Could you see MTL making an offer for Panarin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LeafsFan123</b></div><div>A 60 point/20 goal scorer an A chipper prospect 2 second rounders a third and fourth doesn't do it for a guy otherwise heading straight to Free Agency? IDK seems fair to me</div></div>
Just keep the assets, if he have free cap space, sign a player that actually wants to play in Montreal. If it's Panarin great (though it won't be) then you have those young assets plus the newly found UFA.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LeafsFan123</b></div><div>No way detroit does that. Giving up a young talented asset for practically nothing just for a cap dump?
They don't even have cap issues theres no way they would even consider,</div></div>
Come on now Hudon is a Habs depth player so he's worth at least Mantha, Detroit might have to throw a 1st in too... ?

In 2 years I don't think that we will need him.
I am grateful that Dubas didn't mortgage the future with the bulk of the talent 25 and under. I was really hoping to see Grundstrom play in the line up next season but trading a bottom 6 winger that hasn't cracked the line up, hopefully a 31st overall pick and a prospect for a top 4 dman is pretty good. Like 3 dimes for a quarter kind of thing.

On the high side of the range, but not unfair. However, weren't the Leafs looking for a right hand defenseman?

Kinda funny. I suggested that it would be a 1st and a B prospect (identified as Johnsson, Bracco, or Grundstrom) for Muzzin and I was laughed off the site for overvaluing Muzzin's value. Turns out the Kings got that and more.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ItWasIn</b></div><div>Good move for Dubas</div></div>
Agreed. Didn't have to move a roster player. The 1st is basically a 2nd. He can replace Gards if he leaves in the offseason. Would still need to upgrade D if Gards leaves, but not touching roster players is huge here for that reason.

Hey genius, if Gards doesn't come back, he slides into his spot and makes a tad less than him. Do your research. Thanks.

Good trade for both sides in my opinion. Kings get two young pieces and a pick which is what they wanted. I think Carter, Martinez and/or Kovalchuk (Hello Columbus, Dallas or Washington) are next to move.

Good trade for both sides, which is always nice to see.
The issue for TOR is you still have to go through TBL. It's a shame one of TOR or TBL will be out after the 2nd round.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LeafsFan123</b></div><div>No point in burying Markstrom, makes zero sense you can't have two goalie prospects on rotation that is the easiest way to ruin both of them. Same with having Hughes and Juolevi on the top pair they would get destroyed even in 2-3 years you need to have some veterans</div></div>
Hutton and hopefully a guy like EK will be able to help them get it done. Even Stetcher will be a veteran. I’m also a big fan of keeping Edler for a couple more years.

I'd rather end up getting another project player than a pick for Hudon and I think you misunderstood my Carolina comment. I'd simply rather have 2020 picks than 2019 picks. Deeper draft.
