I wasn't sure if Robertson's value has lowered too much because of his injury history, especially because he just had a major shoulder injury which could tank his production so I figured another prospect was needed. Knies is supposedly an untouchable and I wouldn't want to move Niemela so it was either Hirvonen or Minten and I think Hirvonen is the player with more potential so Minten gets moved.

I think if you're sending a 2024 1st instead of a 2023 you have to add another pick on top to make it work for just McCabe + retention , probably a 3rd. I think the Meier trade is in line with what Horvat trade has set as the example so far this year but I could definitely see San Jose asking for more.

I think this is fair, maybe some issues with the Florida trade but that is just because I'm unfamiliar with the player coming back. I think Schenn could fill a Lyubushkin type roll this year slotting in next to Reilly as needed but still trying to keep his minutes down. Also I really liked the in depth writeup instead of some low effort impossible trade.

I think if the Pens are sure they won't make the playoffs they'll start to think about making some moves, and I think Toronto makes that trade even if they won't include the 5th round pick. And I honestly would love to have Barabanov back for some scoring depth in the bottom six.

Why would they? They have Miller and Kuzmenko's new contracts kicking in next season and this gives them a way out of Garland's four year deal without having to buy him out.
