It really all depends on how each GM views those prospects. You're looking at Robertson from the Hawks point of view...which is all fine and good. I doubt Kyle Dubas is willing to sell that low on Robertson. There's a lot of risk on Dubas's side because Robertson does have production on his resume. But he also does indeed have those injuries. All put together...It feels like one of those lose/lose situations. Robertson means more to the Leafs than to any other fan base.

To me Fraser Minten is still a complete unknown. He's the #3C on a team that's going ALL IN trying to win the WHL this year trading away (4) 1st round picks for Zellweger/Hofer. He's played some #1LW with Stank, but the question is still...Is Minten's production because he's really good? Or is in because he's simply not the focus of the opponent? Logan Stankoven is the main focal point. This to me is another prospect that means more to TOR than to an acquiring team.

Let's take the counter argument. Frank Nazar. He's been hurt all year. Do you think another team would trade the #14 OA pick straight up for Nazar? It's all hypothetical, but I don't think another team would take that chance.

So 100 games of elite play is more of an outlier than 15 games of bad play this season? That doesn't exactly make sense. Wouldn't THIS season be the outlier? Also, you are wrong about the defense. Statistically, the defense were all overperforming last season if that is even possible. Hughes is worse defensively this season, OEL and Myers are MUCH worse defensively compared to last year. Both had "not terrible" years last year. It is completely different this year. Canucks had the 8th fewest goals against last season. That "same defense" doesn't turn the team into a bottom 3 team in terms of goals against

Try and name me 15 better dmen than Hughes in the western conference. You can’t. He may not be great defensively, but he’s improved and is not a liability in his own end like Barrie/Rielly/Karlsson

Demko was elite last season, borderline elite the season before, and had 15 bad games due to injury/terrible dcore/historically bad PK

Boeser at full salary doesn’t have much value, but at half retained he does. Garland he had a tough season, but I don’t believe the buyout rumours at all. I expect him to bounce back under Tocchet
