is holtz being moved? I remember last year NJD wanted Meier 1 for 1 for him

No marner leafs
no one really wants to pay Marner that 11x8 extension he wants, st Louis sacrificing some of their future makes literally no sense.
Also for the leafs fans who want to send Marner to the moon, I get it but you do not pay Marner to be physical, you pay him for point production and goals

Cup Time
Sharks just do this tbh, like 70m in cap space next summer taking on some dead cap is fine by me. Heck we could even use him as a backup to see if he rebounds in a market without Edmontons current expectations.
I look at it like when Toronto dumped Marleau to Carolina, they got Seth Jarvis out of it

California isn’t alone (with other States / Canada) in wanting some form of fix to the contract tax issues (likely never gets fixed, it’s the way it is).</div></div>
Yeah I know, would love to have Florida, Texas, etc situation though hahahah

20 m x 2 years in SJS
without any professional tax help (that many smart athletes would definitely utilize)
Would probably nearly be 11m
Which would equal roughly 5m x 3 years in Florida.
So San Jose needs to start in the 9.5 - 10.5 to compete with anything the state of Florida offers.</div></div>
Got it. Thanks, such an annoying thing to have to compete with

Ryan Warsofsky - Celebrini - Stamkos
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yikes</b></div><div>lol yeah I didn’t care to check till you said this but according to Forbes taxes calculator 10m cal vs 5m Florida =
5.047 California to 3.67 Florida
That would mean 2 years in San Jose at 10m would be equivalent to 3 years in Florida at the suggestion. Still a hard sell for SJS but most people also accept that these millionaire athletes who are smart hire professionals to help get the most back from their taxes so it could be possibly be improved in either state.</div></div>
So he would get more in California? Or am I misreading that

Draft to ONL
if FLA moves on from Knight they will keep Lundell as they will have the cap, Knight isn't a negative asset either, he is only 22, and Lundell to Florida is probably worth a ton. No way this gets it done, especially with the fact that Vanecek is going to them (so they don't even save cap space)
Not sure about the Calgary one, but I don't think it really makes sense for SJ anyway

To be fair this is 2026 so it’s not that far fetched if prospects develop quickly with some FA splashes, I think this is prob reaching
