Much rather resign Motte than Kubalik. Lines are pretty solid . Think Duke gets a bit more.

Whats their plan
I think Pesce would be a good fit, but I’d be weary about how much we’d be paying him. The two year seems fine, but keep in mind within the next four years the following players need to be signed:
- McTavish
- Carlsson
- Zegras
- Gautheir
- Mintyukov
- Zellweger
We should be cautious with our cap right now and not be too hasty on throwing 8+ million dollar contracts out unless it’s for a player who is 1000% making this team better.

I’d be all over that Pesce deal honestly— 2 years is perfect
Fowler Zellweger & LaCombe Gudas as the other pairs
No reason to sign Mantha imo just play a youngster there

agreed. Never know if we'll package those picks for a player or to move up. Exciting times

Yes, with Celi!
Mantha and Amadio are interesting free agent additions. Mantha provides more size in the forward group. As for Amadio, not sure the Sharks need another L4 forward. Although he scores more than Kunin or Bailey.

Offseason
I would be shocked if they aren’t running with Ersson/Fedotov next year. I don’t think Zamula gets more than a late rounder. I doubt someone takes Nick I would just keep him as a scratch and play occasionally than retain when you probably have to retain to get Atkinson out

From Nashville’s perspective: id rather have the equivalent value in an already developed prospect instead of having to start from square 1 all over again. This is what bothered me about the pick to begin with, saros appeared to be a legit starter. Why spend such a high pick on another goalie when there were other organizational needs? Couldve had a mercer, jarvis, or Lundell.
Personally, id pass and see what i can get for saros and run with Askarov at this point. We have invested so much time and resources into him... we might as well use him

You are correct sir 👍! New owner, but coyotes owner gets first dibs at another franchise 🙄

Contracts are reasonable and good adds, but I find it hard to believe top FAs would commit long term to a franchise with such an uncertain future. Maybe they can sign some mid to lower tier guys to short term deals, if (and it’s still a big if to me) - they loosen the purse strings in Utah. Isn’t it the same owner?

Do Domi and Bert stay
IMO, they can't keep Bertuzzi. Need to shore at RHD. Depending on Timmins and Jones to play big minutes to iffy. So instead of Bertuzzi and Jones at 6m. Maybe Tanev and a cheap or more likely Jarnkrok stays which still leaves 4.5m for a RHD by your post
Yep a 1.5m veteran goalie...who ever that might be.
Even if Domi goes to wing, Leafs need him as centre in case their is an injury to Matthews, Tavares, Holmberg or Kampf.
But you made a very reasonable post with a 22 man roster.

After the collapse
I think TK might actually end up getting traded after all with how hard this collapse has been paired with how much he's been asking for. I think trading him is the right call but we'll see.
Ostlund isn't the piece for Laughton, I'd probably do that for a 2nd rounder

Reinhart would be the exact piece this team needs, I just think he'll end up staying in Florida. I'd also probably rather trade Jensen over TVR, but honestly ship em both out.
If Oshie LTIRetires and Leonard signs with the caps, there's a chance they could actually be competitive next year. They're close, but they clearly are not there yet. The future pieces are in place.

Inject that Ullmark deal INTO MY VEINS.
I don't know if that's enough for Nelson, or if the Isles would be interested, but wow would that ever be the perfect move for Boston

Rather keep Pod. At least I know if he's gonna be asked to play a bottom 6 role, he can do that. Not sure Walhlstrom would bring any qualities Tocchet is after.
All else looks good except for maybe Talbot vs Silovs and then rolling Joshua top 6. Would hope for another goal scorer in the top 6.

I'd assume and hope one of those RD are moved and Muhk makes the team and is on PP1 since no other D is really qualified for it.
Other than that this is generally what I'd expect to roll into next year with, although Zadina should have a case for top 9.

Yep. The lines are definitely off. If the Hawks target Brodie, it would be as their 7th D. They'll sign an actual right shot UFA for the 3rd pair. Can't see the Hawks paying anything for Wahlstrom. Only way he ends up a Hawk is as a piece in a larger trade.

Opening night and eventual deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lights</b></div><div>That's a good point, Fiala probably is a better comparable. What teams do you think would offer a similar package?</div></div>
Colorado could be in the market for TK and they still have their 24 1st and 26 1st, but assuming the trade happens next deadline it would have to be the 26 1st and along that you can possibly get the guy they will draft depending who they pick with their 24st if they don't trade that pick, but Calum Ritchie would be a nice prospect to get along the 26 1st.
Maybe they could get another asset depending on the trade market, but 26 1st and Ritchie isn't a bad base for a trade. Ritchie also adresses the center issue they have and could have top 6 potential.
There are other teams that could be in on TK, but this is just one example.
