FAIR Eichel trade to NYR
Funny stuff here as usual. Other fanbases chiming in not enough, all busts and throw ins.
Sure if: Jack had a neck, no flat cap and we had F prospect depth.
We'll let U have him: Holtz, Zacha, Smith, Daws & 1st or Zadina, Vrana, Wallinder, Cossa & 1st.

Avs already have 2 goalies under contract that’s what I mean adding a 3rd goalie. They don’t need another experiment shuffling around in the crease if they are going to add someone

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Linie057</b></div><div>In my opinion Pefetti is a high risk factor in such a trade. He could become an amazing 2nd or even 1st line center, but IMO he could also end up as a 3rd line center. If we would own that pick already i would be ok with drafting him, but I would never give up that much to draft him. I would then trade for WPG or NSH 1st and draft Lundell. Just my opinion</div></div>
I would try 5th overall if the sens would take that package, that and we already have chytil and mika so its not like we need him to become a 1C

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Turner33</b></div><div>If you're saying they won't trade him then yes. But kakko is a better fit for the rangers then laine</div></div>
What Im saying is this is probably the type of deal it would take to do the deal but in the end Jets and Rangers fans dont like the deal. Therefore we should just keep Laine and the Rangers fans can keep their mentioned players in this deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Linie057</b></div><div>I don´t think that that Laines value is that high. He could have a extremly high ceilling, but it is very possible that he will never reach it. He is bad defensivly and his playmaking isn´t that great (although its improved this year). If he hits his full potential he will be worth a lot, but he is a big risk for any team giving up that much.</div></div>
Then the best thing to do is keep him !

Laine
Very bad deal for LA.
Winnipeg already used up 4 years of control on Laine not to mention Byfield and Stutzle are both expected to be better players.
You gotta pay a big premium for all those ELC years you're buying.

Why is Calgary paying a 1st for Ristolainen? His unmitigated contract (no retention or salary going back to Buffalo) is worth a 3rd at best.

For sure, I wouldn’t play him consistently against elite competition, but he can be very effective against middle 6 players.

Greene is an above average 3rd pairing Dman IMO. Great hockey IQ and good 4 way mobility for a 37 year old. Isles had a 67% expected goal share when he was on the ice against the panthers.

Saad is interesting but not giving a first for one year of him at his cap hit. I’d throw you a second and a prospect, or give you the first for strome though

SJS is not that's for sure. They don't need rentals.

Couture is in his prime and has 2-3 prime years left where his contract is fair and 3-5 good years after that where he will be overpaid so I see him as a hard to move player unless a team is desperate to win in the next few years. Buffalo might be if they want Their star happy but this would be a bad trade for them.

Would Rangers fans do this after the year Kaako just had
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>In any normal year they'd be well out of contention for the playoffs. They really should be much higher in the standings with with players like Panarin, Zibanejad, Fox, and DeAngelo having career years; good goaltending; and a supporting group of Kreider, Buchnevich, Strome, etc. Give this team a top LHD and they'd easily be a playoff team.</div></div>
In any normal year? At the time of the break, they were 2 points out of a playoff spot and surging, even with injuries to guys like Kreider and Chytil. You very clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
EDIT: and that's with Zibanejad missing 11 games and Shesterkin not being called up until 1/7
