NYR would rather buyout Goodrow and gain some cap credit from it, rather then sending our most enticing prospect to a division rival

So you want NYR to retain to the point where Goodrows contract would be a bargain, and THEN give you a 1st on top of that? xDDD

Ofc, best 4th line in NHL!!

Since you like using games played vs points
Romanov with 133 NHL games had 18 points at the time of his trade
Jones have 8 points in 38 NHL games
Jones would’ve had 10 more points then Romanov if his P/GP went over to as many games as Romanovs 133GP

Only reason I want a pick for them is cause the Rangers roster is full, and this gives them more time. Either for the prospect himself, or for future TDL ammo

You undervalue Jones a lot tho, he’s NHL ready, only reason he is in AHL is to get significant ice time since Rangers top-4 is locked and young

Caps have one Defenseman under contract next year, and will be tight on the cap hit. They have no need for their 1st as they should look for a quick retool if they wanna stay competitive

So packaging Jones with Kravtsov (who, I think could be pretty good but has failed to this point at a North American pro level) is the kicker to get Turcotte? Come on.</div></div>
Everyone has “potential” but even with Fox incredible first NHL season, top-10 is franchise level potential which as much as I would like to, don’t see Fox have!
Kravtsov is still a A-level prospect despite AHL struggle (many seems to struggle in Hartford so I feel it’s more the organization rather then players)
It’s easier to rate North American players as the better prospects when they shine against their own piers while Europeans goes against full grown men
I wanna use one example, Raphael Lavoie. Couldn’t crack the SHL roster with Rögle and is currently playing in Swedish 2nd tier with Väsby (bottom team)
The point i wanna make here is that put Europeans and North Americans against the same opponents and players like Kravtsov would be closer in value among fans to North American prospects like Turcotte
Now don’t take this as me saying Kravtsov is worth Turcotte alone, repeat: Kravtsov is not worth Turcotte alone!

So points and value are now the same thing? If I valued jones the same as Turcotte why didn’t I just posted them one for one?
At least I’m not predicting Fox to be a top-10 NHL defenseman in the future which is BOLD

I could be higher on him then most, and if you have suggestions on additions to the trade I’m all ears!

sign twin deals to deangelo and strome and trade for reilly
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>newballcoach</b></div><div>Thank you. The Leafs don't need futures. That's a trade a rebuilding team makes.
I doubt very much that Toronto would want to move Rielly. I would have to imagine the package would include DeAngelo (if he would get along in the Toronto locker room not withstanding), Georgiev and something else. Whether that something else is a middle 6 forward like Buch, or a Chytill maybe who knows. And maybe a pick. Rielly is very good and it would take a lot more than the spare parts squad.
Rangers fans imagine what you would want for Mika and that's a ballpark.</div></div>
Well you can drop the “locker room cancer” DeAngelo is among teammates considered a good locker room guy
And as far as the value of Reilly, he’s not worth your package if I get this right
DeAngelo
Georgiev
One of Buchnevich/Chytil
Draft pick x
I can get on board if Buchnevich/Chytil is dropped and the pick is no earlier then 3rd, however the timing is wrong. Reilly has two more years left on contract while DeAngelo and Georgiev are RFA, meaning Toronto can negotiate terms with them while Reilly is a huge risk to lose to UFA in two years

For good or worse, goalie prospects is the last thing NYR needs :’)
Don’t really finds those defenseman enticing, guess the middle ground will be some mid pick where I can hype up some prospect in the draft on my own

Both are certainly available, especially Strome if I get my wet dream true and NYR take advantage of Arizona and trade for Dvorak
Only prospect I find enticing in Columbus are Marchenko. Other then that it would have to be picks attached to Murray, but you have not so many mid-picks coming years
