<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logan03</b></div><div>Why not try and dump a contract like Murray. I don’t think ur getting samsanov on only 3mil either</div></div>
Seems like the poster hopes Murray can be on ltir so his cap hit removal is already accounted for. A dump or buyout is more likely.
But yeah, I would expect Sammy to come in at higher then 3 especially if he goes to arb. This morning they signed that Dylan Gambrell fellow who will probably bring the roster to 22 and add ~800k to the cap... I don’t think Murray is enough

Improving The Defence
You'd think after thousands of Murray to Chicago proposals, people would realize that it's going to take a GOOD sweetener to move Murray.

Can't see the Hawks going after Graves or Mackey. Where's Vlasic at? Hawks aren't starting the season w/ all 6 of their young LD in Rockford. Two of Vlasic, Phillips, Kaiser or Roos are on the roster to start the year.

11th overall and POSSIBLE UFA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logan03</b></div><div>They do though. They want his contract out. Same with boeser.</div></div>
They want to trade them yes but not as pure cap dumps meaning they aren't going to do it unless they get real value back for those players. There are so many trades in here where people throw a couple late picks at the Canucks and get Boeser. It's ridiculous. Fun fact.... Boeser has just as many points as Jamie Benn over the past 5 years so people thinking he's vastly overpaid maybe don't realize how consistent of an offensive player he is. Yes he's overpaid at 6.65 but not as much as people think.

As for your free agents I'll just quickly take a stab at a few.
Compher no way he signs for less then 4-5 years and it will likely be north of 5 million for him.
Bunting again at his age signs a longer term deal with someone.
O'Reilly will likely want to sign with a contender regardless of money.
Graves again because of age won't sign a short term deal.</div></div>
Trade aside because we're all allowed our own opinions and have good reasons to believe them.
On the UFAs. Who's going to offer that kind of money to Compher, Bunting, Barbashev, Kaner, ROR, Tarasenko. It's just a lot of UFAs and not a ton of teams with cap available. Hard to argue any 1 specific case. Just someone's going to get left out, no?

From your list of UFA's the only guys I think the Hawks would target are Domi, Bunting and Drouin. Maybe AA if they miss out on everyone else. I'd add Killorn to the list as well.
Like the trade too. Seems like a good deal for both sides

Seth Jones won't waive for any Canadian team, Nor does John Tavares waive his NMC for the Hawks.
None of those trades get either Connor Hellebuyck or Tom Wilson.

If Granny was a good player, the Pens wouldn't be so anxious to get rid of him. He's obviously a player who's performance is starting to decline. No GM is going to pay the Pens to acquire him.

Everyone knew that Granlund trade was bad the moment it happened. And, now, he is widely considered a bad contract that PIT will be desperate to move, in order to create cap space and still be competitive while their aging stars are still around.

What are we getting for that 3rd? A Rebuilding team who is taking on cap dumps and getting paid to do so doesn't go and buy a guy in which most ACGM are trying to get rid of.

I think #19,#44 and #99 could get it done if we aren't taking salary.
As for who id look at with that #11OA, its probably going to depend on if anyone drops though id imagine Danielson or Moore could be available and they are guys I could see CHI targeting if we are to move up.
