I respectfully disagree, I think that it will take more, I think that if horvat gets 40 goals, and takes the most draws in the league and wins almost 60% he is going to command at least 8x8, and Kuzmenko will probably be a 60 point guy and usually 60 point guys get about 6x6. thats 14M for the 2 guys and then you have to sign Bear, Hog, Dermott, and still upgrade the blueline. I think we need to start to monitize wingers starting this deadline. it sucks to say but I think that if we can get cost certainty this spring on the two bug UFA's then we keep them, but if not, trade them and dont look back</div></div>

It's pretty clear though that the status quo isn't good enough, why not make a change and rebuild properly.

Says the fanbase trying to trade for Matthews on this site. This is just getting silly. I am not even trying to chirp the team, I think you have some really good pieces and will be a good team in the future, one or two more higher picks and you'll be a really good team in a couple years. Be patient and take the good with the bad, pain now will result in better times down the road. Too often the Sabres franchise has jumped the gun on a rebuild and it's blown up each time. Hopefully this time is different. Good luck and I wish you well. The guy on here trying to argue that Thompson is better than Matthews though is ridiculous.

Hilarious, I get you got to support your guys but what an absolute hilarious take. And what's even more funny is that Matthews played something like 5-6 games less than Thompson and I'd wager you didn't look anything up to prove your point either.
