And who is the one being snarky and hateful? Hmm.</div></div>
Hahahaha okay bud. Next you'll be using 3 game sample sizes to "prove points". What a joke. I guess Thompson is obviously the 2nd best player in the world eh? How'd they fair going head to head this year?

The only one on this thread spreading hate is Baba.</div></div>
Well it's a good thing one of us actually looks stuff up. In the last 41 games of the season Thompson had 24 goals and 15 assists for 39 points.
Matthews had 35 goals and 25 assist in his teams last 41 games. And he hilarious thing is he didn't even play in all of them. Matthews had almost as many goals as Thompson had points.
So do you want to walk this back? Or will we circle back in a month when Matthews is once again in the thick of the Rocket race after a 15 game stretch where he scores 20 or something else ridiculous.

Shall we circle back to this by year's end? Do you honestly think Tate Thompson is going to outperform Matthews for the whole year? Hell let's talk in a month and see who's outperforming who. It's so weird to see people hate the Leafs more than they like their own team.

Ah the usual grass is always greener trade. I don't really care to get Vatrano, he's a good enough player but not anyone we need. Foegele has been floundering in Edmonton, how's he an improvement on Engvall who makes less and is a good PK guy and contributes in many other ways beyond points. Ferland will never play again so why are we trading for him?

I guess Matthews and TO would have to consider moving to Buffalo who is currently 14 points behind TO and 3rd last in the conference. That makes all the sense.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Archarte</b></div><div>Or he walks in two years to the first team offering $15.5MM AAV and Toronto get the same as Calgary when Johnny G walked. Toronto will not be able to match that and someone will pay it with the cap jump coming. Either way, It's not gonna happen. Just fun to imagine.</div></div>
I wonder how upset people like you will be when Matthews resigns this summer. Likely for 13-13.5, he loves TO, loves the spotlight and they will make him the highest paid player in the world (for a year then it'll be McDavid again). I imagine the next step in the never ending dream of Leafs destruction you lot have, will be Marner will leave for the first team that offers him a billion dollars or some nonsense.

Domi would likely add 10-20% more offence and get scored on 50-75% more. He's a defensive liability, isn't physical and can't drive his own line. He's a bad player.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canucks123</b></div><div>waive who tho</div></div>
Unlike some teams, the Leafs have a lot of good players they would lose if they hit the waiver wire. Malgin would be done in a second. So would Engvall. That's two guys without even thinking about it. Being at 50 contracts doesn't hurt you the way people want it to. Much like the Leafs being right to the cap. They don't have bad contracts, literally everyone on the team has value. We are lucky that we don't have guys like Myers making triple what he should. Being against the cap and having a bad contract like Myers takes away leverage. Not having a good player like Kerfoot who likely would get 5 million on the open market making 3.5.

Evidence for a strong legal convictions can be so scarce too. Even if there is evidence, often victims have such a short time to take action while still processing what happened. Sometimes they don't even have it in them to come forward to the police because of how much it messed them up or out of fear or both.</div></div>
Yup and once in court, they are asked to relive a absolutely horrifying situation and if they seem troubled the defence uses that as the victim changing their story. Imagine trying to stay composed when faced with all that.

According to many on here, the Leafs are going to be desperate for an RD until the end of time. If they had Makar instead of Holl they would still be desperate for an RD.

Why would you "dump" Kerfoot? He's an asset with value. Just move him in the SJ trade. You overpaid anyways, he's a rental and they don't cost 2 firsts.

It's a huge problem in hockey still. It's so sad when so many will defend people that do this saying, "if she didn't want to be there she could have left" or "it's just some woman wanting money" it's absolutely disgusting. Hockey players and men in general get away with rape way too often. It needs to be stamped out and hard.

There just isn't a point. They have 3 mainstays hurt and their depth guy in Benn. Plus they traded for Timmins. They don't need another defenceman
