Yeah I agree with this. I think Jarnkrok is the odd man out here and I am sure there's more suitors for him than for Lafferty at this point. I've also liked Lafferty's camp so far and the speed he would bring to that line.

Leafs Trade For Karlsson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kyle_Okposo_Lover</b></div><div>Not only is the value way off, but EK65 to Toronto has the same chance of happening as McDavid to the Islanders has. Its not. At least right now. The cap isnt working, it makes no sense for the Leafs and the Leafs wont want to part ways with what SJS wants</div></div>
The description clearly stated it was just a value trade and not what made sense to the Leafs or what the team would want. And the value is on par for a 33 year old dman with a ridiculous contract that will hamstring any team trading for him. Gio won the Norris 5 years ago and he's been on close to League minimum contracts ever since. Instant buyers remorse for whoever gets him.

Nylander Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>These Nylander trades have gotten WAY out of hand. Debrincat...a superior player...with additional contract control...didn't get this. AND you want to dump Murray?
Nylander has held out before. He's not giving a team friendly deal to ANYONE let alone a new team.</div></div>
Where I agree that the Nylander trades have gotten WAY out of hand because he isn't going anywhere. A few points here, Debrincat is not a superior player to Nylander and he actually does not have contract control at the moment. His agent only submitted a list of 5 teams in which 3 had no interest and 2 don't have the cap room for the long term contract demands. Unless someone can pull a rabbit out of a hat, he is going to have to settle for a 1-2 year deal at a lower cost while everyone waits for the cap floor to go up. He in fact has much less control over his situation.

What is this team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>Orlov doesn't affect Pesce's value... what logic is that? Using that, Draisaitl worth as much as Kadri, because he's a 2nd line center in Alberta. That's the only similarity. Let's ignore the fact Orlov is a LD and PEsce is a RD, let's pretend that doesn't matter (it does). Pesce's better than Orlov...Pesce is a top 10 RD in the league, and he's cost effective. He often gets overlooked as so many Canes players do for a team that is consistently among the best in the NHL, but that isn't the issue here. Jarvis straight-up has the ability to be better than Nylander. He's already probably a better skater than Nylander, which says more about Jarvis than Nylander. His totals aren't a million miles away, and he's still just 21. This deal is awful for a dude the Canes know they wouldn't be able to re-sign because he's asking for more than 10 mil a year</div></div>
15,981 posts and still delusional and obviously biased. Your evaluation on Pesce is that of a biased fan and not of a professional scout. You don't sign Orlov for the kind of money he is making with the likes of Slavin, Burns, Skjei and be one of the front runners with Pittsburg for Erik Karlsson without taking a hit on the value of a guy you clearly need to trade now. It's fairly basic business, if you have a top 10 employee why are you looking to add others to take his spot? Now for your Seth Jarvis comments... is he a good player? Yes. Is he a top 6 forward? Yes. Will he ever put up the numbers Nylander is putting up? Probably not. Carolina is also in a win now mode which you get better results with Nylander than Jarvis at this point. Not to mention Nylander put up more goals than Jarvis did points this year and as a 21 year on an arguable worse team at the time, Nylander put up 61 points to Jarvis 39.
So I stand by what I said, Nylander for Pesce and Jarvis would be a terrible trade for Toronto at this point. Also, Nylander asking for over 10? You've got to stop reading blog posts from 12 year olds in their parents basement pretending to be hockey insiders my guy.

What is this team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>Jarvis was untouchable for Meier, who had team control and is arguably a better player. They reject this for a rental in a heartbeat. You can call me a homer all you want, this is still brainless.</div></div>
I think any player can be untouchable pending on what the return is. As it stands Pesce for Nylander 1 for 1 would never happen. The value for Pesce just isn't what it use to be and with the addition to Orlov it just brings his overall value or role with the team down. Comparing Nylander with Meier you get two different RWs completely. Nylander out skates and out skills Meier by a mile but Meier has the same scoring ability and brings a more irritable/physical aspect that Willy just doesn't. So it really depends on the kind of RW you want. I think Nylander fits Carolina's system much more than Meier does. That being said, I still wouldn't trade Nylander for Pesce and Jarvis. I think the Leafs lose too much in that deal.

I hate this team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GladeBang12</b></div><div>Kampf is a one-dimensional fourth line centre that provides literally 0 offence whatsoever. Players with his skillset shouldn't be given 2.5 million AAV, especially for four years. What's even scarier is that this indicates that they will likely play him as their 3C for a few more years. This is just a terrible way to start new management and if this is a sign of things to come, I'm not sure how I'll be able to cheer for this team.</div></div>
If that is your take / scouting report on the quality player David Kampf is and what he brings to any team outside of his ability to put the puck in the net, then I am very afraid of what your expectations are for the Leafs. You don't often get access to one of the best defensive players in the League at that price. His work on the PK on jumping up and down from 3C to 4C all season easily makes him worth 2.5M a season. His line was arguably the most productive in the Florida series. Our top guys making North of 10m can't score and you are unhappy with a great depth signing for this team.... keyboard warriors I tell ya, know nothing about the game.

Absolute waste of a trade
Everyone who thinks the McCann trade was poor asset management and that Seattle would have taken Holl instead are the idiots. The McCann trade was purely third line Center insurance so we didn’t lose Kerfoot or if we did lose Kerfoot we had McCann. Seattle never wanted Holl..

Leafs going 4-4-1 per EF
It was actually a very smart move to trade for McCann and leave both him and Kerfoot unprotected. Think of it as a 3rd line Center insurance policy. A prospect and late pick to guarantee that we go Into the off-season with at least one third line Center. Both Kerfoot and McCann can fill that role just fine and I’d be happy with either one. Had we not done that we would have risked trying to find a 3C in free agency or via trade.

Leafs fans need to calm about the picks
The upside for the Leafs draft and other teams as-well was drafting out of Europe. A lot of these prospects are currently playing in KHL, Ligga, etc right now against men and they are not sitting at home working out in their garage waiting for Junior level leagues news because of Covid. I liked the Leafs draft and I liked to Rodion pick and I see. Was I a little stunned we skipped over Schneider, at first ya but hey he doesn't address our needs now and that can be fixed via free agency or trade.

Other than scoring, Laine is a flat out liability.
In his contract year he had his worst year production wise and was a -24 on one of the best teams in the West. Looking forward I think Nylander has a higher ceiling.

It wasn't about losing him next year for nothing in this trade. With the whole Faulk for Kase rumor going on I feel this deal could work.
Faulk will walk into Manson spot and Marner will replace the offense that Kase and Radkell produced combine. It brings them a high profile 22 year old superstar. They have the cap to meet his ridiculous demands and Daddy Marleau is only 2 hours away if he doesn't sign with Anaheim.

The point remains there are a number of other options I would rather have. When it comes to discussion, you're always going to be biased towards your own team. I think people rave about Jones as a top tier dman more or less because of his contract. In three years when he signs for 9-10M he's going to be considered overpaid and CBJ fans are going to dread it.
