<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Cannon</b></div><div>While true the Toronto future is extremely unpredictable. Matthews/ nylanders contract. A potential new gm. While knies is super overrated he’s still a solid prospect and the first could be a mid pick. Too much for the leafs to give up long term.
As I said I love peeke but I don’t think the leafs would offer a pick that far in the future.</div></div>
You're right.....but they also aren't going to make a trade based on anything any of us say.....this is all for us...all for fun.......I don't see Muzzin coming back so fitting Peeke in as a replacement for him would not affect what Matthews and Nylander want....and quite frankly i'd rather get a young proven D who i think are harder to find than a prospect like Knies even if he is highly touted...I look at it kinda like Tampa giving up 2 1st round picks for a young forward like Hagel last year....we are moving a hight prospect for a proven D man.....all depends on your preference on how a team should be build i guess...what if instead on Knies the deal revolved around Sandin?

I dunno that it is that big of an overpay....we get rid of Holl who is horrible......we trade Woll who is a rookie for Korpisalo who is playing well right and we might be able to sign for next year....and then we trade a highly talked about college kid whos is still unproven in the NHL for a 6'3 200 pound defenseman plays the Right side loves to hit and is sign for what 3 more years at a decent number....our 1st round picj will probly fall between 25-30....where as your 2nd will probly be in high 30's....figured we needed the little add to get a quality young D like Peeke...i think he is highly underated.

why? cause i was asking...his name has come up as possible trade bait and he's been a healthy scratch...trying to figure out his value....also talks that Ducks don't wanna meet his 2.44mil qualifying offer

I figured it this way....they get a first round for us that will probly fall between 25 and 30.....where as we get a high second...difference should not be that much.......besides Dubas likes to trade down on first picks....I did not see your suggestion....I am looking for people's opinion...I think Comtois would be perfect big body on a 3rd line...would make a great checking line

Stop Trading Muzzin
The only Muzzin trade that makes sense is to send him to the Kraken for Adam Larson...allowing them to play Sandin on the left side and giving him the season to improve along side a comparable veteran D.....then try to sign Aston-Reese for 4th line LW and Milano for 2nd line LW for 3mil or less combined if possible

Maximum rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>I wouldn't call Georgiev a good goalie. 2G in a good tandem, tops.
The point in this post is the fact WPGs core has a problem - none of them is willing to stick around. And they're at downward trajectory too. Imo it would be a decent idea for them to start again from the scratch now and build for a better future, because where they are right now, they're getting nowhere.</div></div>
oh i get your point on the fact they seem to be a dysfunctional team right now.......just don't think a tear down is needed and can flip the trouble players and still stay competitive....i used Georgiev only as an example as there is apparently a rumor Rangers might be interested in Dubois......sure you won't replace Hellebuyck but there are other names out there and i think a rebuild on the fly can be done....anyways good chatting with ya

Maximum rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>3-way trade might work. Doubt NYR is going to qualify Georgiev given their cap struggles.
Point is that the only reason for WPG to consider moving guys like Hellebuyck, Scheifele or Wheeler is because they want to rebulld/retool. Those two are PPG players and Hellebuyck is a top10 goalie, would make very little sense to move them for no other reason.</div></div>
Well if they don't qualify him then you can sign a good goalie for cheaper than Hellebuyck....and get something else to replace Dubois with....point is you don't have to do a re-build...more of a re-tool like ya said and send out the pieces that seem to be trouble makers....and that's the 3 forwards. so one gets flipped somewhere for a goalie and the other 2 for either forwards or a D.....personally i think Sandin would be good add to this lineup considering what you have there now

Maximum rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>I think WPG would prefer leaving that for TOR. The thing is, Nylander's value is subject to regress after being traded from a contender to a rebuilder as there's not as much quality to produce with, and Nylander is more or less all offense kind of guy.
WPG would rather take prospects like Niemelä or Knies in return for Hellebuyck I'd wager.</div></div>
Then maybe it's a 3 way deal...besides....who said anything about this being a rebuild for the Jets where it is torn right down......by acquiring Nylander they can replace a Wheeler....send him off to long island for the goalie being mentionsed....or the rumor about Dubois to Rangers....a package that includes Georgiev...

Maximum rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>Moving Hellebuyck instantly means they're rebuilding, which also means that two years of Nylander is pretty useless for them. Also Sandin as a target is valuable, but WPG already has a LHD logjam.
The pieces offered here are valuable enough, but I question the fit.</div></div>
then they can trade Willy elsewhere....either for picks or prospects
