Big moves
Well first off not only is this trade offer awful but how does this make EDM better. Defence gets signficantly worse, Broberg isnt ready, Desh is **** and having both of them in your d core that already consists of Ceci and Nurse is hilarious. Second you dont even have enough forwards, I really dont see how the oilers can get Konecny, resign bouch,, kostin and mcloed plus other needs and stay under the cap, its impossible

If the Leafs decide to blow it up

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GreatWhiteNorth</b></div><div>Flyers could easily take this deal and flip Marner for more. He’s worth more than that package by himself</div></div>
Trading a 100 point selke candidate is blowing it up. Thats a big splash. Secondly, I don't look at other trades on here I just think those 2 players are perfect complimentary pieces to a playoff team, which PHI wont be for a while, so why wouldn't they take advantage of their value and add a top 15 player like Marner and use him as your main piece to build around with your other young guys like Farabee, Frost, York etc. You also get a prospect with very good potential and if he works out he fits right into your teams timeline. You get another pick in this years draft, you keep your firsts and if Marner doesnt't want to resign you flip him for equal if not more value then Laughton and Konecny its a no brainer for me if I am PHI. Its a win win for two teams in different positions.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Samsoc22</b></div><div>Then why don’t the Leafs just flip him somewhere and then trade for TK with the assets they acquired? Why do the Flyers have to do the extra work if you want TK?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GreatWhiteNorth</b></div><div>I didn’t say they couldn’t do that. You were the one saying that the Flyers would decline the offer, all I was saying was that it would benefit them to actually take the offer and run with it if it came across their table</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Samsoc22</b></div><div>All of the Leafs teams trying to trade Marner/AM34/Nylander to the Flyers is just flawed cause they all expect the Flyers to just flip them. I don’t get it like why are the Flyers the ones doing the work for the deal Toronto wants to make?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>radtad</b></div><div>Thread title: “blow it all up, get rid of everyone!!!”
The actual trade: no major pieces going anywhere except marner to PHI for the 13th time today despite the entire fan base saying ‘please find somewhere else for marner’</div></div>

This offer fails on all three counts. Good day, sir.</div></div>

Leafs Moves to Get Them to the wonderland
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lancebmx</b></div><div>Robertson is really small and has trouble staying healthy so far in his career. Muzzin is another player with injury issues and Washington has better and younger options on the left side coming up. They also need to shed a bit of cap to sign pending free agents so taking his deal on isn't ideal.</div></div>
Really small isn't a good reason, hes got very high upside and is still very young, he is an A prospect. Fair enough on Muzzin but a 1st and a 2nd might be enough.

Leafs 22-23
IMO the leafs issue isnt anything else besides toughness/hard to play against. They need guys that can ware down others in playoffs. They need a Power forwrd top 6. Wilson is the dream pickup. 3rd line of Kampf, Engvall, Kase can stay and then need to big, mean, hard to play against guys with blackwell. And no not clifford or simmonds, 2 guys that can play hockey still. Aston Reese, Accari etc. There D isnt the issue imo, trading all those assest for mayfield and bellows isnt upgrading at all imo

Ya just picked a random team, cant really think of a team who need him, maybe a fringe playoff team lacking on RHD, any thoughts who?

Roberston who is a very good prospect as well as a 1st. Muzzin isn't just a cap dump either, top 4 defencemen still and would help the caps out a lot on the left side.
