What a time to Be-Leaf

A "report" is: "Last night, Hurricane Nancy made landfall at 1:32 a.m. just west of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Flooding was extensive."
Elliotte Friedman and Chris Johnston speculating that "if Morgan Rielly get traded, it will be for a first and a prospect" is a prediction.
On a substantive note, it baffles me that Toronto fans think Los Angeles would invest a first-round pick in one year of Morgan Rielly, especially when that pick might be the Kings' entry in the Wright/Bedard sweepstakes.</div></div>
If you guys are that bad next that will cost Rob Blake, Luc Robitalle and Todd Mcellan their jobs. The pacific is projected to be the weakest division next year. Like I’ve said multiple times now is the time LA makes a move. Whether is a Rielly or whoever now is the time. You can’t wait 3 years for your rookies to develop when you have Doughty and Kopitar still under their contracts and we don’t know where they would be in 3 years.
You have to be aggressive this offseason all all the pieces are there. Plus the pick is top 10 protected meaning even if y’all by chance missed the playoffs and won the lottery the pick doesn’t belong to Toronto.

Sabres Realistically Hopeful
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>timmeejr</b></div><div>While I agree with the Risto reasoning, I’d be trading Reinhart with an extension in place, I may have missed that</div></div>
What is the extension, because if he wants $7.25M x 6 the kings are better off going after the free agency.
The team just needs gap placeholders for 2-3 years until their farm team graduates into full time NHLers. The Kings have assets, but more importantly they have the cap space. Honest question which would you rather have:
Risto (overpaid and unnecessary with Roy and Walker) + Reinhart (signed at 7x6) OR Turcotte, the 8th overall, and the cap space to sign Jaden Schwartz (6.5M x 2) and nearly $8M to find another top-6 winger or top LD (kings dressed two rookies as top-4 LD last season)

who else remembers this rumor from a couple years ago
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vr1995</b></div><div>I have to disagree. because our d is better that move leaves a bigger hole at forward, and not going to lose the trade to make our d better, marner is worth around his cap hit, doughty is not</div></div>
Doughty is 2nd in the NHL.com Norris poll from a few weeks ago, behind only Hedman. He's earning every dollar of his contract.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: we're not trading any two of Byfield, Turcotte or Vilardi.

I don't think Petterrson is a fit in LA. The Kings are looking to upgrade at 1LD. Petterson is a quality option for 2LD, but the Kings already have Anderson and Bjornfot competing to fill that spot. I can't see the Kings giving up a quality young prospect for him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Byrr</b></div><div>I'd rather have a GM that looks to the future and does whats best for the team rather than one who's more concerned with what the fans think.</div></div>
Who cares about the fans, his line mates are Brown, and Kopitar who are playing lights out and are the leadership of the team. The team has rebuilt for three straight years, they have one of the best prospect pools in the league, it’s time to move to the next phase., I’m not against a trade but not for a 2nd make it Liljegren, (Or a similar nearly ready defenseman), or find a $1.25M top-6 winger elsewhere.
