Or Minnesota. That much for a UFA next year that they can't resign. Unfortunately no.

Well to be honest. It is hard to say. The Rumors for Fiala and Dumba are only because of the Wild's cap space. Trading one would fix that. So trading both would be unnecessary and not make sense. Dumba probably stays because he was just given an A. Fiala would be the one who is moved. But not in season.
In the end I think they move neither. I'm pretty confident that Guerin will find a way to keep both.
In terms of that trade. I like it a lot, but I think Billy would want you to sway that 2022 second for a 2023 first. Due to how important Dumba is. Is this trade really worth it for the Sens at that price?
Personally I don't think it is.

Dumba or Fiala. Not both. Both would cost you more than that.

Well that is a bit of a troll for sure, but no he is not the 2nd best forward on the team.
Our wings are:
Kaprizov, Zuccarello
Boldy, Fiala
Foligno, Greenway
Duhaime, Dewar
I don't see a line except for the 4th where he knocks another player out. he doesn't slot into the top six, and the Foligno Ek Greenway line isn't going to be broken up. The Wild are stacked at the wing position and don't need any. This trade would never go through. Especially for what this trade suggests.

Giroux Wild
Imo (I'm not a pro scout) , I would rather keep both Lambos and Addison.
Hear me out.
I look at tape and scout for fun and am not employed by any team to be clear.
I am a Wild fan first, but I try not to let a ton of bias slip in. I look at players that I am interested in so I mostly look at Kings prospects, Rangers, Islanders, Habs, and a few others here and there. But funny enough I compare Lambos to a player already on the Wild. Brodin.
Lambos has Elite skating ability and great first strides. He uses his skating to stay in position and lock down the other teams best players every night. I however believe that Lambos has a bit higher offensive upside than Brodin (Lambos also hits a bit more often). He has a great knack for getting his wrist shot through traffic and on net.
I have no doubt that Lambos will go from Jr to the NHL right away.
From everything I see Lambos is a floor high end top 4 D-man with a top 2 ceiling that fell in the draft due to injury and COVID. I don't think you trade him plus other assets for Giroux.
Imagine two Brodin like Defensmen on the Wild. It should happen within 1-2 years.

Thread:
Offseason move for Cap
Ok so hear me out. Devils fans can let me know if this kind of trade makes sense for an offseason move. I feel like the underwhelming play of Blackwood and Bernier being injured gives them a need in goal. Cam Talbot has been great for us this year, but unfortunately the Wild need cap space. I feel like the Wild asking for a second wouldn't be too much, but doing a 3rd instead would be fine. Honestly any sort of compensation would be good since we need money. I feel like this fills a need for New Jersey and gives the Wild the cap they need.
For Minnesota I think the Wild can definitely do a trade like this in order to keep Dumba and Fiala in the offseason. Kahkonen has arguably played better out to of the two (In less games played sure but better nonetheless) and looks like he would take a bridge kind of deal with the possibility of having the starter position all to himself. Wild have goalies. I think Wallstedt signs in Iowa this offseason and eventually is the franchise goalie. Next year he gets a couple of starts, The year after he gets the backup job over (whoever), and the next year he possibly has taken the starting job.
Let me know guys. Please be gentle though.

Wow these trades are bad.
We are trading a potential PPG Two-Way winger in Boldy for someone in their 30s who doesn't play half the time. Not to mention one of our biggest leaders and impact players in Foligno. Plus two more players AND Picks? Not good to say the least. Just so you know. It usually isn't good when you are trading 6 assets for 2. oof for that one.
I also see lots of downgrades in that Carolina trade (from Carolina and the Wild's side) that really don't make sense for either team.
I would scratch this roster and try again. I really don't know what you are trying to do with this one.

Fun team. And since you took out Aho I think that Ek would start (as he should) over a William Karlsson.
I will say that Brodin would also make the team. You don't even have him mentioned. Definitely over Lindholm.

I've got to be honest. That Minnesota trade makes no sense.
Just no.
Trade our starter, trade possibly the best goalie prospect in the NHL, and trade Bjugstad (Who is currently injured btw) for a winger we don't need and a worse goalie.
No.
That second doesn't matter by the way.
I won't rip on you too much because you probably don't watch the Wild judging by this trade.

2019 Re-Draft
I have to disagree with you on Boldy. I think the Wild would make the same pick in that spot this year. Although you were spot on in terms on Heinola being one that they may target at that spot in a redraft if Boldy was already picked. As a third option they might go for Spencer Knight.

The Wild aren't paying a 2nd and a 3rd for a winger they don't need.
The other trades are a bit too optimistic as well. To be fair is could see the Habs getting a first for Petry, and a first for Chiarot.
Holloway? You may need a bit more than that.
The Habs could not get this much irl. I'm sorry. They just can't.

Dude really? That Wild trade is terrible. Why would Minnesota do that?
For what?
A draft bust (for who was selected after him) and a low potential winger that we don't need.
For one of the Wilds best high potential prospects and a cap dump that doesn't matter since the contract is up this summer.
Bill Guerin calls and says he wants to talk in person. When he gets to New Jersey he spits in Tom Fitzgerald's face and breaks his thumb with a hammer. Followed by a quick "Lose my number".

Caps future
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>I'm not talking about a single playoff push for this year. I'm referring to the $12M in dead cap space next year and the $14M in dead cap space in the two years after that. Holding onto and keeping, then using, our prospects ELC's is paramount if we want to stay competitive during those years. This goes beyond just one year, this is more about keeping a realistic long-term outlook on the franchise than anything else.
In this regard, utilizing our prospect pool of Rossi, Boldy, Addison, Beckman, Khusnutdinov, Lambos, O'Rourke, Wallstedt on ELCs as cheap roster inclusions during the next 4 years as they make the NHL is more important than either a center or than two players who don't move the needle enough for us to properly contend. We're more than just a Kuznetsov and Hagelin away from doing that.
We won't have the means to properly go for the cup until the dead cap comes down in 2025 to a more manageable $1.6M. In this case the youth fits our timeline better than a 29 year old Kuzy. We're also taking on $11M in cap in this trade, and not sending an equivalent amount back. We have less than $3M in cap space right now, how are we supposed to afford this? The answer is we don't, and decline this trade for the multiple reasons I just stated above.</div></div>
Couldn't have said it any better myself.
